The whole thing pisses me off to be honest, these sportspeople do it for their own pleasure, their own ego, they are not doing it for their country.
Give the nighthoods to those who really deserve it, people who slog their guts out for others day in and day out. They are the ones who really deserve to be recognised for what they do. Not pedaling a bike, or swimming a bit faster than most. Or playing in some band or the other collecting a huge pot of money. I mean Kate Bush and Stella McCartney ffs !!
