I'm sorry, how is this even vaguely justified? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...es-no-action-over-row-with-ref-Mike-Dean.html Completely outrageous. I'm not ABU, and I'm not claiming Fergie never gets punished, but how on earth has he managed to escape this one? Disgusting behavior from the man who is meant to be this countries greatest manager. The FA are surely corrupt - not to the level of money exchanging hands, but surely to the level that most of them are scared of Ferguson? This sport loses credibility by the match it seems.
It was Dean who didn't report it which is why they're not doing anything. It's a significant flaw in the FA's system of dealing with these things but not one I can't see it getting changed anytime soon though. I wish Dean did report it but you can understand why he didn't, he'd already dared to go against Fergie and referee the game fairly and probably didn't want to anger him further. Fergie can ruin a refs career if he wants.
Any other manager would of been made an example of with this, with fergie probably condemning their behaviour as well. It would not surprise me one little bit if that horrid man stills keeps influencing the FA after he has retired. What really f*cks me off is how he is portrayed by the media as being the the great football man whereas in reality he is about everything that is wrong with the game.
Alan pardew get only 2 matches ban after harassing refs and then push 4th official at the back .. !! and you want Sir Alex to be banned for that? stop embarrassing yourself, AW do it at every decision and get nothing .. they all do .. and escape it .. yet you only want special role for Sir Alex how pathetic is that?
Who said he should be banned? If he were to be banned I'd think it was probably for the accumulation of bringing the game into disrepute at every opportunity.
Oh grow up, the only reason I've singled out Ferguson is because I watched that game, and he is the only manager in the press at the moment for abusing referees. Don't try and play the only victim card. Also, Ferguson is also the vilest man in association with the game in this day and age, so what do you expect?
but others do it in daily bases and not get punished Alan pardew got 2 match ban for pushing the ref .. so to ask for Sir Alex to be banned is more of a wishful thinking tbh
The real point of this topic was more to highlight the failings of the FA, not to compare Ferguson to other managers. I get your point, but it just emphasizes the point I'm making.
harry redknapp was as bad as Sir Alex yesterday, yet media only talk about Sir Alex and whether he will get a ban or not agree refs need protection .. they should never be bullied in the game and am sure everyone will support any similar scheme .. but that should be applied on all managers not just Sir Alex
Alan Pardew apologised to the official both personally and publicly and said that he was ashamed for what he done. It certainly worked in his favour which is likely why he received a more lenient punishment.
Shwan and UIR would defend Fergie even if he was caught on camera murdering a 90 year old woman. They'd claim she made him do it and Fergies life was in mortal danger. Blinded by tribalism
The FA does seem to have strange processes in place regarding refs. They say they want to enforce respect and protect the refs, but then managers can say pretty much what they want as long as they don't question professionalism or impartiality, and even then the FA only seem to care if there are media comments. So you end up with players and managers in the ear of the refs and the 4th official pretty much every game and they get away with it, then Redknapp makes a comment in the media which would almost certainly be along the lines of what SAF said and he gets charged. Personally I thought SAF was out of line hammering away at the official like that, but you see managers and players in the ref's ear every week and the FA seems to have the opinion that it doesn't matter. So it just encourages SAF and all the other managers - they get in the ref's ear and encourage their own team and don't give a **** about how they are seen. Hardly sets a good precedent for lower down in the game or encourages youngsters to respect the refs.
Exactly, the FA is what is at fault. Punishments need to be consistent, and the criteria for them needs to be known, and that's something they're a long way off.
do we? i said yesterday Sir Alex was wrong and i disagreed with him on Evans OG and I think ref did the right call but what i know? .. you must know better how i think or feel typical ABU tbh .. feel sorry for you
The FA are a bunch of drongos who pass up every opportunity to correct the faults in the game such as player abuse to refs, off the ball incidents, referees with poor eyesight, the list goes on. By allowing anyone not reported by the ref to walk home free is lunacy. The whole world sees the problems, the FA turn a blind eye.
The Fergie Association are just biased ****ers, what do you expect with Gill being one of the main men ffs, **** the fa and man united. It's a shame they've improved there helping to hand United this season as i was hoping we'd see another victory for football this season with Us or City winning the title as opposed to United being handed a title by the FA again
