No surprise Arsenal was always going to be linked one day. Young skillful french winger

Arsenal are mulling over a shock move for Leicester City winger Anthony Knockaert, according to reports.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is on the look-out for up to three new players in the January transfer window, and 21-year-old winger Knockaert is the latest player to catch his eye.

Knockaert, who moved to Championship side Leicester from French minnows Guingamp in August, has adapted brilliantly to life in England, scoring five goals in 22 matches.

The France under-21 flyer has also collected a bagful of assists, and it is his wing play that has attracted an increasing number of Premier League scouts.

Fulham and Sunderland are just two of those known to be tracking Knockaert, but according to RMC Arsenal are now mulling over a bid in the new year.

Knockaert, who is currently on police bail following a public order incident earlier this month, is set to be watched by Gunners scouts over the Christmas period ahead of a potential offer.

Leicester are thought to value the player at around £5million.

I really think selling him for 5M would be a massive mistake. We should genuinely be looking for closer to 10M
 
I wouldnt consider selling Knockaert though. In the summer if big clubs come in with big offers then we will have no choice as we cant keep someone like Knockaert in the championship for long but until then he is a massive player for us

And when asked about Arsenal being interested he said there is a clothing brand in there (French connection)
 
Im pretty sure Wood has signed, though not the type of player it think we ideally needed a goalscorer nonetheless.
 
I thought he was superb today.

Looked Brady and 8 (Evans?) look ****e. Was definately our best attacking player.
 
It's utter bollocks as a rumour, but even if it were true no parties would win if we sold him now. He wouldn't get into a Premier League side and would therefore stall his career- the team would be pointlessly paying his wages and we'd be out a rare creative outlet.
 
So we are going to be quids in according to the rumours

Liam Moore is going to Man U for 5M
Kasper Schmeichel to Real Madrid for 6M
Anthony Knockaert to Arsenal for 5M
