UEFA are to appeal against the bans dished out against a variety of players following the Serbia v England U21 game that descended into violence and racial abuse.
Fair enough, you may think, but who issued these bans in the first place? Er, that'll be UEFA...

No news yet on whether it's an appeal on behalf of everyone that received sanctions or just some of those involved.
The English FA have already stated their intention to appeal the bans on our own Steven Caulker and Tom Ince of Blackpool/possibly Scouseland.

The org is split up so that Platini can't just decide who is guilty or not, that's for the disciplinary body of which I am sure he has influence over but does not control it. UEFA is very political. This appeal is the result of that politics. Otherwise Plaitini would have just handed out the punishments he wanted in the first place
 
So few comments! Have we all been rendered speechless by UEFA's posturings?
 
Didn't see the thread before.

UEFA are a mess, it's nothing new but the fact they're trying to address it is new. As much as I criticise them they've made a correct move and should be [slightly sarcastically] applauded for it <applause>
