We have just agreed to let Jermaine Beckford stay at Huddersfield on loan for the rest of the season and the rumour is we have agreed a deal with WBA for Chris Wood for 1.75M

You think that will upset them?

We're apparently in talks to sign Del Boy from them, too.

*PLEASE NOTE* This means we have enquired his availability, it does not mean we have or definately will sign him. Please do not shoot the messanger.

If you could be bothered to look at many other posts I've made, you will see that I am always moaning about our gates so that is not an issue here. Secondly I've never said 1.5 mil is ridiculous for Woods, I think he's worth more. My whole point, which you dont seem able to grasp is that JB has tried to stike a deal with WBA on their terms, and each time he agrees to those terms they change them. Why not just tell JB that Wood will cost 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 or whatever from the outset, instead of all this "well lets see how many goals he scores and who's interested before we make up our mind".
As I said in a previous post if he had only score 4 or 5 goals in 18 bet your life WBA<ok> would have bitten our hand off for 500,000

I wasn't arguing with you about the gates - it was the idea that WBA are "holding us to ransom" that I find completely risible. There is no need for JB to go on endlessly trying to act as if we are the injured party every time he can't afford to stump up the dosh. All he has to do is say Wood is now out of our price range cos he has done too well. So it goes.

I am however perfectly able to grasp the idea that WBA keep raising the price when Wood scores - cos that is precisely what any halfway sensible business would do.

You are however right that you didn't say 1.5m was ridiculous - that was somebody else and I tacked it on to the end of my post cos I couldn't be bothered to post two different contributions!

It could be true but this is the same thing they told us when they were after stewart, chester, and koren. Every day it was, this is a done deal it will be anounced blah blah.

Like I said, apparently he's having a medical at our training ground on thursday <ok>

Who gives a **** he loves the club and has said many times he wants to say at Millwall he will sigh <ok>

And I'm sure we will say he's not available. However could there be the possibility of us agreeing to sell you Trotter if you drop you're interest in Wood?
