If the Mayan calendar is to be believed this is the last days racing we will ever see. It comes from Ascot over the jumps with Lingfield, Wolverhampton and Dundalk offering Polytrack fayre.
Several interesting races at Ascot despite the small fields and heavy ground.
In the 1.20 I like Colin Tizzard's Jumps Road. He has proven form on heavy at Ffos Las over hurdles and he is pitched into handicap company after just 1 run over fences, I think because connections like what they see and think this could be a decent mark.
A nice double for shortie-lovers is Puffin Billy and Simonsig - both should win with the minimum of fuss.
In the 3.05 the unpronouncable Venetia Williams horse should go well and possibly the most interesting race on the card may well be the bumper where Mr Henderson runs a John Magnier owned Westener gelding in Captain Cutter. Up against him is David Pipe's ultra-impressive Plumpton winner Kings Palace (remember Stick waxing lyrical about him) and very interesting runners for Phillip Hobbs and Charlie Longsden.
Should be a cracking card.
