3rd team, don't think so. That is as strong a squad as you'll see in the Prem

Teams chasing promotion often play weakened sides in the cups .

You proved you have a vast amount of plastic supporters, given your average attendance being around 20,000.

I presume you mean 'home' and it wasn't 14,000 it was 16,500.

16,500 is not great for a team 'chasing promotion, especially a local derby!!!

We have a strong and expensively assembled squad but that was by no means our 1st team, equally it wasn't our 3rd either.

WAHLS <ok>

We were made to run after the ball in the first half. Our goalie made a bad error for their first. We ran out of stream in the last 30 mins. Hull fans watching, you were knocked out by donny, whilst we beat Southampton and Everton in previous rounds. We also had close to 34,000 fans for a midweek game. I note with interest your last hope game only drew 14,000. What the hell are you getting all high and mighty about.

oooh hark at the such a stroppy tart.

I didn't even watch the game, in fact I didn't even know it was on until one of my mates text me the score, such was the magnitude of this Milk Cup quarter final.
No ****er watches the final so I dare say not many people up and down the country will even know this hammering took place.

I was just assuming that seeing as though you got paggered you must have played ****e.

Sorry if I got it wrong and 5-1 was unfair on the 'mighty whites'.

<laugh>

Sheeeet.

They steamrolled us in the last 30 mins. Players were chasing the ball all night. We need to have made substitutions earlier and kept the scoreline respectable....

Terrys coming back from injury, Hazard and Cole both came on as second half substitutes

Well thats what I mean. They rested Cole and Hazard and then in the second half they brought Hazard on to try and save the embarrassment of a defeat and brought Cole on because Bertrand got injured. It was a full strength team though, they woulda played the exact same team in the prem under the exact same circumstances.

We got taken apart for the last half hour when we ran out of puff. Fair play to Chelsea, they were the better side. We should have kept them down to 2 or 3

Class shone in the end. Simple as that. We played well in the first half, and yes rode our luck with Ashdown making some great saves. At least we don't really have to worry if Kenny is out fir sometime.

But how people can say we were ****e in the second half is beyond me. A championship side shouldn't be allowed to play against players which were representing Chelsea tonight.

A little bit of perspective. They bring on Eden Hazard, we bring on David Norris! They knocked out Barcelona to win the CL last season, would any Championship side even bat an eyelid if they came over and turned them over 5-1?

We've had a great cup run, and I really don't think Warnock will have too much to do to pick the players back up for Saturday.

PS - please sign Thomas

Fair do's mate.

Just a bit of playful joshing.

I'll leave it at that and may I take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas.

I consider myself to be amongst dear friends on this board .

All the best,

Galante.

Oi Leeds fans, who noticed this.....

  • 01 Kenny
  • 11 Varney
  • 14 White
  • 19 Norris
  • 20 Gray
  • 28 Somma
  • 44 McCormack

One of the first things I noticed.

There's a game changer off the bench, it's who we bring on if we need a goal. Coming into the new year Leeds United is looking very dangerous. Ryan Hall, Ross McCormack, Rodolph Austin, Jason Pearce and Davide Somma... that's one hell of a bench we've got!
