How pointless a thread of this style is. To replicate the Proschwitz thread with it's obscene accusations of him being **** for not scoring in eleven substitute appearances and one start.

Leicester fans made accusations without actually knowing a great deal about him and are judging him on his goal return. So I thought I'd throw in some pointless facts, and Waggy's current goal record this Season to show that it's pointless to judge a player when we haven't seen enough of him to judge.

As a non-Leicester fan, I'd see Waghorn has scored 2 in 15 appearances this Season and say that's ****e, but you Leicester fans claim that he plays well, which is a valid point which I can't really contest.

Proschwitz seems rather sharp and looks up for it when he comes on, but his 2 goals in 12 appearances, makes him look ****e definitely.

It's not pointless to us, I've quite enjoyed this thread too actually.

I'll tell you what though mate, it's all about expectation. Why isn't Waghorns goals to games ratio a big deal? Because we didn't come on your board pre-season telling you he was going to score goals.

Now I know you are going back on your words by claiming you were saying "if" and "maybe", and it was probably only a select few of you who told us how well Prossie was going to fare, but it did take up a lot of our threads at the time, hence why we remember it so well. With the comments you made, you were just setting yourselves up for a fall.

And apologies for using "you" as our term for all Hull fans, I can't remember exactly who posted what, you just all get lumped together :)

It didn't 'wind me up', it's just a thread that rather unfairly slates a player for no complete reason.

<laugh> <laugh> <laugh>

You 'bit'!

Either we both 'bit' or neither did because we responded in the same was as you are now!

<laugh> No problem mate, I'm not trying to defend those of us who did really blow the Proschwitz signing way out of proportion as they clearly judged him on his transfer fee alone. I do remember quite a few of us also attempting to bring those selected few back down to Earth but 'those who speak loudest get heard' and all that.

Glad somebody finally sees sense...! <ok>

We both took a bite. There's no denying that.

You want to ask yourselves the question, why haven't we started a "Has Mark Cullen scored for Hull yet!?" thread too?

Because we don't know who he is, and haven't been told over and over again that he is going to score goals this season.

(I only know who this guy is because I just had to google your squad and found the first strikers name I didn't recognise.)

Because that has a simple answer; he's ****. <ok>

He might score more if he stayed onside. We've tried loaning him out to Lower League Clubs and he still can't hit the net. He came up through our Academy. Unfortunately, it hasn't worked for him. <laugh>

Confident.

We need to turn a few draws into wins and losses into draws. I.e. on Saturday we should have realisd we were off our game and just played for the point. We didn't and played with 4 attackers and got beat.

Anyway, my summary of the teams that have done anything of note so far;

Cardiff have yet to impress me, seem to get a lot of decisions go their way and they score a lot of goals that you can put down to the opposition's defending. Their away form is appaling, too.

Palace have just been riding on the crest of a wave and I expect them to fall back into the play-offs/top 10.

Hull are always one goal from a draw/defeat because of their lack of strikers.

Middlesborough have queitly done their work but their squad isn't very big and it lacks quality bar the first 11.

Watford are a team of loanees, we know as best as anyone how that'll turn out.

Millwall are similar to M'boro.

Poyet said that this league might be the most competitive it's ever been, but it's the poorest and he's right. Nobody looks like they'd do well without severe spending in the Premier League.

Not a bad summing up there.

We just need a bit more firepower (I'm still hoping Proschwitz will get the chance do the business), looks like a decent Prem striker will come in January.

I'm confident on the bet too although it might be one of those 50/50 ones ( although in my heart I think we'll win the league .....“I can cope with the despair but it's the hope that kills me“)

Look, I thought Proschwitz would play every match and score more goals then what he has done! He hasn't! I was wrong! However, he still has plenty of time to adapt to this league and consequently, do well and score more goals in this league!

A pretty fair (if somewhat rambling and, at times, rather garbled) summary, Charles

Busted Fosse

.. the former a 1990s group who can still be seen singing on an inferiror version of the old Band Aid classic ... the latter, the arbiter of sense and reason floating on an alcohol fuelled sea of tranquility that is the festive season ... let them know it's christmas time ..

Again who's crying about it, 1 or 2, its a forum, this is what there about. Proud Fox was on the Hull board today and nobody was basically telling him to stick to his own board. Im sure some of your threads do get spoilt by Hull fans but like you say this thread was created to have alaugh at us so 1 or 2 are gonna rise to the bate. Im simply here to talk to other fans, its healthy competition although i don't really understand some of the name calling and bitching that goes on.
Are you closet Leicester?

Wahey, we're finally getting somewhere. So why is there a thread for Prossie, but not for Cullen? Because you didn't come on our board telling us how good Cullen was going to be this season. If you hadn't mentioned Prossie on our board, we probably wouldn't know who he was either, but you did, so you have to suffer the consequences I'm afraid :)

I apologise in advance for asking a potentially silly question, but what was this bet?

Nice one Charles, good on ya son, takes a big man to admit he was wrong!

OLM himself personally offered 10K to any fan who wanted to bet between who would score more goals between Prossie and Jamie Vardy

Prossie has 2 and Vardy has 5 at the minute

Pity you were all too chicken to take it, or you'd be looking nailed on for a big pay day.

And I'd be round at Brucey's, trying to convince him to get the bastard on the pitch. <laugh>

To be fair, Hull fans didn't come on here posting articles about signing Proschwitz, we just posted on threads you lot started about us blowing £2.6m on some unheard of second division German.

He's not **** by the way, we've had some real **** over the years and he's not one of them, he's better than Mclean and should be getting more game time than he is.
