Every competitive trophy is worth winning if you're in it. Now we have the Champions League in the bag it's time to win our first ever Europa League trophy.

i can never understand why the europa is so belittled, it is not exactly easy to win is it, how many years ago was it that a prem team last lifted it?

I think you need to increase the quality of the side being put out as you approach the end of a comp like the COC. I.e if you progress to the qtr's onwards you should take it more seriously especially like this year when all the other big sides have gone out. If we can get past Leeds we'd be more than capable of beating the remaining sides over 2 legs and then you're at Wembley.

That makes a lot of sense. Perhaps I'd conveniently "forgotten "we're out of the CL !!!
So on reflection, maybe we should have a go for this one, but next year form a plan more like your suggestion for the ones we really need, ie CL and top 4, then FA then whatever.
