Cannot see QPR saving themselves unless something pretty dramatic happens in January window. Draws are useful if you are safe but no good if you try to escape...look how we got trapped for a few weeks.

QPR need to go on a winning run and soon. But they don't play any of the bottom six until their trip to St Mary's in March. Can't see Reading getting out of there, the last one I am still saying Villa but only just ahead of Sunderland. If Lambert can get (finally) rid of Bent and do something with the cash, I might change my mind.

Three teams that aren't Southampton FC.

I foresee QPR swapping places with Crystal Palace, Sunderland going down to be replaced by Middlesboro. As for the 3rd team, I have no idea. If Reading are true to form, of improvement after the Christmas, then I think they will haul themselves clear.

West Ham could easily go on a bad run now. More injuries today.

Still far too early to say. Right now, it looks very much like three from six. But who is to say that a mid-table side wont not now win a game until late Jan/early Feb, by which time they've fallen to 16th place? Likewise, who is to say that one of us six wont now go and follow what Norwich and Stoke have done in recent weeks?

I still expect QPR to pull themselves back into the mix, but I do accept that they are quickly running out of time for that to happen. They need a win or two very soon.

Right this second, I cannot choose between us, Villa, Wigan and Sunderland. I could make strong cases for us all to survive. Reading are the only side in the division who I would put money on right now to go down. If they seriously think that players like Cummings, Tabb, McAnuff and Le Fondre are good enough for this level and will keep them up, then they are kidding themselves.

    QPR Reading Sunderland

We have definitely improved over the last few weeks and NA has found his best 11.
My only concern for us would be injuries, so far we have kept all our key players injury free.

QPR, Reading and Wigan for me. I think Fulham might get dragged back as well

West Ham will be fine, the only other teams that may get dragged into it are Fulham and Newcastle.

Tomorrow is quite big for Fulham. If they lose, then I think a small amount of pressure would fall on them for the first time this season. Then they go to QPR, who are itching for for this first win, before a trip to Anfield.

Lose all three of them, and I wouldn't be able to totally enjoy eating my Xmas dinner if I was a Fulham fan, knowing that in 24 hours time we suddenly find ourselves going into a relegation six-pointer against Saints.

January is going to be a huge month. The window is key for a lot of the teams at the bottom. Will Reading try to buy their way out? Who wll Arry bring in etc........
