    I don't want to turn this into a debate on religion, so i'll clarify my viewpoint then leave it at that.

    Ok, I don't like Christians who are determined to 'save' me, or look down on me for having a view on spirituality that doesn't conform to a major religion. I'm also not a fan of the bible belt, taking everything literally types, and those who think science is evil for producing things like evolution, vocally oppose all science, whilst using mobile phones, tv's, the internet...)

    People who have their own beliefs, are open about them but don't try to push them onto people, and won't stand in the way of (sensible) scientific progress based on the arguments of (playing God, etc), I have no problem with at all.

    I live in the Bible Belt (I'm no religious fanatic by the way) and many perceptions are incorrect. Yes there's a Church of every denomination on every corner, and there are a fair few churches which attempt to follow their particular religions scriptures by the most strict (and sometimes out-of-date) interpretations. There are also churches from the same denomination which are far more tolerant and aligned with what we have England. What we don't see here is people pushing their religion on others. I've been here 4 years now and can say we have less door to door unsolicited religious visitors than we had in the UK. There are some great upsides also - getting a tee time on a Sunday morning is much easier, or late Sunday breakfast (without a line) at one of the many diners.

    <ok>

    DHCanary just tell the ones that don't believe in evolution that there is a plaque dedicated to Charles Darwin in west minster abbey.... not that they would listen to you lol (and as a Christian the literalists piss me off as they make us all look like idiots).

    Other things to rant about.... Canadians why are they all so sickeningly happy all the time? I mean come on are you robots? Rap music... needs a c in-front of it to make sense, it is totally rubbish. Talent? no musical talent just **** drivel from the mouths of some barely literate media puppet. Oh I'm bad because I shot someone... no you're a dick go to prison and shut up. Bernie Eccelston... he's just a nasty piece of work!

    I could carry on about various things, but it would become some sort of epic word drivel!

    I quite like Canadians! But that may be because I'm basing it on one person I was living with last year and she is really fit!

    I like Canadians, Rap Music, and the occasional episode of Jeremy Kyle when I feel like I need to boost my self esteem.

    Carrabuh is right though, cats are ****ing ****.

    For the life of me I just cannot understand why anyone needs a book to tell them what to do or think.

    The worse thing is, they say they follow the bible and spend half there time trying to change it to the now socially accepted norms.

    Worship God, the bloke (if he really did exist) would be the vainest being in the Universe (and we all know being vain is a sin).

    Bloody faith schools, knock them all down and build new Schools of Science.

    I genuinely have no idea why anyone would want to be religious, or be daft enough to believe it.

    I don't mind religion, I actually went to a Catholic school. Although it wasn't that different to a normal school really.

    The only thing that annoys me is when it gets shoved in people's face and they try and advertise it to people. Nowadays in the Northampton Town Centre, you actually get people rapping about god in the middle of the high street, and 10 paces up someone trying to convince to go and practice in Church.
