Just watched a dvd of stoke citys first season in the premier league and it brings a tear to my eye watching fuller my question is this! do any stokies think we will see the likes of him again i doubt it bloody brilliant skills brilliant goals and stoke city through and through. Ric fuller you are a legend and so was lawrence.
Fuller was a one-off arguably the best £500K that Pulis or any other manager has ever spent. I just love 'mavericks', but they have got to be very very good. Don't forget he could be an infuriating bugger as well, sometimes in the same game! Lawrence was a goodun for us, especially in our first season in the Prem And just for a change I am not going to compare with the team of '72!!
Probably my favourite player ever to wear a stoke shirt (2nd would be Stein) IMO, most entertaining player ive ever seen. When he got the ball you knew he was capable of doing anything!!. A TRUE STOKE LEGEND.
Stein was a better player, but Fuller was more entertaining. It will be many many many years before we will see a player like Fuller at Stoke, hes given me some of the best memories as a Stoke supporter. I cant tell you how much I miss him not being at Stoke.
Fuller was awesome for 10 minutes and the most frustrating for the other 80. I don think we will see another player like him under TP! I do miss him an like Walters TP always new what he was getting, just it was the total opposite!
For me Steino was a far better all round player than Fuller.. a goal poacher and had a great shot on him. Fuller? loved watching the guy and he scored some awesome goals but as Smither's said. He did'nt do it often enough. Mark S did. also agree about Jerome Waddo, he always looks like there's a goal in him, where as with Walter's well..... And Nick, that team of 72 was better than anything I've seen since then. Maybe Hoekstra he was a genius. ( NEVER could spell his name sorry)
somebody put the vid of Steino's goals against Man Utd!! I must have a trawl -.didn't Schmiecal.(SP) say that nobody had hit the ball harder against him?
Right you are Nick, those goals vs Utd, I think? it was a an evening game at the Old Vic.. just one game where he was unplayable. Seem to remember that was one of a few games I missed the K.O. due to working nights. Although, we did persuade our gaffer to give us a couple of hours free time as it was against Utd. Remember sprinting along Campbell Rd but did'nt arrive until 5/6 mins after KO. Same thing happpened when we smacked the Arsenal. We hit four past them and TC scored in the first few minutes. What a game that was. And, a few weeks ago, I watched a full video of the 72 final. Might send one to TP see if he learns anything about how to ATTACK and use two wingers.

Thanks Potts, great to see those goals. My memory not being what it was,did he go to Chelsea, but was never as good as he was at Stoke. What happened to him in the end I wonder??
BLOODY HELL - sorry to shout. Potts/Waddo you have made an old man very happy!! brightened up a dismal day. Many many thanks. To quote the commentator, "this man is magic, he scores goals others only dream about" Amen to that Righteo - off to No 2 Son's for a couple of pints and watch the Manchesters handbags at lunchtime. PS I had forgotten that awful away strip for Utd
Mark Chamberlain was the best for me in my era.... I seem to remember he set up three of these goals www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqI3zNRCJDM Amazing game when there were no reserve keepers
Joe, Yes Mark S did go to Chelsea then into Management I think? but for the life of me I can't remember where that was. I will look it up.
