I may have mentioned that I am away next week, leaving later today and Osca is sitting with his bag packed, well how could I go without a ramble. Todays team picks itself, just about and I do hope Henderson is not in it. To play a half fit lad who is knacked and off form in a game we will probably lose anyway would be beyond stupid, IMHO. I would not let Muntari near the team either, I know a few players will be leaving in a few weeks but to announce it to the world with the season still being played out, not on for me. I expect to see a 4-5-1 with the aim of keeping it tight and the hope of hitting them on the break. The pace of Elmo and Sess on the wings and the craft of Steed and Riveros in the middle backed up with the steel of Colback, but its that 1 up front I want to talk about. I expect that one to be a Mr Craig Lynch, not a lad I know a lot about but a lad I hope to be talking about all next week. Whatever has gone on this season and whatever happens next, all young Mr Lynch should be thinking about is 90 minutes today. All of the work and graft invested in his career to date, all the sweat, worry, hope and fear has been for this one game, those 90 minutes. Its unimportant to Mr Lynch, IMO, what the rest of the team are doing, of no consequence who the players are in the Bolton defence or how many goals are scored at the Sunderland end, none of that concerns him over the 90 minutes. He should and hopefully will be focused on one thing, doing what he has been doing for the last few seasons, giving defenders a hard time and putting the ball in the back of the oppositions net. He needs to forget everything else, forget the future, forget the score, forget his team mates, all that matters is him, his graft and his goals. Get those 90 minutes right and he will become an hero but whatââ¬â¢s far more important he will ensure he players in front of 40,000 fans, next weekend at the SoL and will have the chance to take his Sunderland and football career to the next level. If we lose today but Mr Lynch puts in the graft and maybe scores a goal or two then whatever the future for his 10 team mates or the manger, we will be saying, didnââ¬â¢t Lynch have a great game, he will enjoy his weekend. So Craig, be ****ing selfish son, sod those big name charlies who have so far managed to **** up our season, go and show the bastards what a young lad from Durham can do and make us proud. Enjoy your week boys and girls, whatever the score today, we like Mr Lynch can be proud and say we gave our all.
Ruff rider by any chance? Spot on about Lynch, ever thought about going into motivational speaking.........
Don't bother syd he's about as funny as a wet weekend in Byker mate plays the fat jolly bit which went out with laurel and hardy. Have a good holiday and hope you come back to a happier board next week, lets face it no one is expecting miracles today no there should be very few complaints.
Right, with you and yes I have seen it just had no idea what the name was. I do have the frame for the job
Have a good time in Northumberland Syd - I have very fond memories of the area and plan to go on a tour of the area when I turn 50 next year - will also be visiting Fitzgeralds in Sunderland - a great real ale pub. Best of luck to the lads today.
