I wouldn't say it "blows ours out of the water". Liverpool's new deal is 7% larger than United's current one. Given our current one started in 2002 and Liverpool's starts in 2012, ours is still larger in real terms (i.e. after inflation). And of course our deal was staggered with inflation, so over the last five years, from 2008-2013, we are guaranteed at least £127 million. Which is £25.4 million a year <ok>

Although I doubt we'll get £100 million a year Dave, that would be immense given we only sell about 1.5 million shirts a year! More likely we'll end up around the £40-45 million a year mark with another staggered long term deal. And that really will blow el Scousers out of the water in a big way :D

I thought yous started just after our Samsung deal in 04/05?

We momentarily had the largest deal in the leauge<laugh>

You're right, for some reason I had it that the deals were 5 years in my head and since the new deal is expected to be worth over £500m hence my dodgy calculation. But either way, our new deal will liekyl be the biggest shirt deal in sports history.

We're talking shirt and kit manufacturing deals, not shirt front sponsorship. I doubt Samsung makes Chelsea's kit! ;)

Your Samsung one was briefly the largest shirt front deal, but I'm guessing it's now lagging behind Utd and 'pool's £20 mill a year efforts. And of course Barca's £25 mill a year.

I think the French one is about 300 million Euros over 7 years, so about £35 million a year. Dunno how long a deal we'll go for. I doubt we'll sign another really long deal as, in retrospect, the inflation component was way undervalued in our last deal given how much football wages etc have gone up over the last decade. I'd expect we'll get around £300 million over 7 or 8 years, but might go for a longer deal if the price is right.

Swarbs that was mean <laugh>, you made the scouse look like a complete prat. I can't believe he is comparing the commercial side of Utd to Liverpool. Liverpool fans.... you don't rival us in anyway!!!!!! not on the field and certainly not off it. Why is that so hard to grasp? Our commercial revenue alone is set to break the 100m mark this season and you dare compare us to you? <laugh>. As for a new nike deal.... it will probably range from 35-45m a year, which is improved and a very good deal.

el scouse have a lie down mate <ok> your club is not in the same prestige as Utd and it is an insult to Man Utd to associate your club with us. We are a bigger club than you in EVERY WAY.

Ah ha.

Should've read the fred a bit more closely.

So if Liverpool have the largest current deal and they've won very little in their recent history in comparison to their hey day, then that means it should be eclipsed pretty soon...

Probably by us, for about 2 days before Utd trounce it.

Please don't take this seriously, I haven't got the faintest idea about our kit deal, and couldn't give a **** either tbh<ok>

Man United for all their money making are still making massive losses. All that money going off to Florida to pay off creditors on two bankrupt shopping malls.Man Uniteds next sponsor is either going to be Ocean Finance or Big Issue or St Vincent De Paul.Liverpool make more in sponsorship than anyone else in the premiership, the new kit deal is worth £75 million over 3 years.Seeing as Liverpool have already got the biggest sponsorship deal with Standard Chartered. It looks like Liverpool have blown United out of the water.Chelsea's kit deal was £110 million over 10 years.Liverpool as I said have nailed £25 million a year for 3 years.Thats kits, the rest of the line is in a different deal.Thats not mentioning the money Liverpool are going to make out of minority shareholder Lebron James.FSM(Fewway Sports Management) have teamed up with Lebron James' marketing company to make both Liverpool and Lebron James a fortune since they made their agreement.

If we make SUCH MASSIVE LOSSES which affect us SO badly why is it we qualify for the FFP WITH EASE!!!!!

Lets be realistic here.... the FFP rules state that they DO NOT take into account ONE OFF COSTS. We made a massive loss which in reality is a paper loss because of the BOND REFINANCING. We have a net debt of 355m and a gross debt off 490. In the bank we have 135m in cash and our operating profits are above 100m and set to increase further. The commercial revenue from last season was 89m and this season it is set to break the 100m mark. Man Utd have to pay around 45m on interest every season on that debt but that will decrease to 40m as Man Utd payed off 8% of the debt to reduce the interest charges. With Man Utd making over 100m in operating profits and yearly interest charges of 45m, Utd make over 55m and should make around 70m after all costs and debt charges. That is a profitable club and the losses we had were simply one off charges and good will charges which don't come under FFP.

THE CLUB IS GROWING AND THE DEBTS ARE REDUCING. As for the Glazers Malls that has nothing to do with Utd and I think you should read more into it!!!.

Man Utd have money over 135m in cash to spend and it will be spent when Ferguson wants to and Ferguson has said himself in March that “We have certain objectives in mind at this time and two or three will be fulfilled,” said the United Manager.
“The Glazers have always been very much in favour of our desire to improve the team.”

We generate huge amounts of cash and have 135m sitting in the bank and that has been there for 2 years now. When Ferguson needs to spend he will and he will spend a large amount of that this summer. The debt which was affecting Utd the most was the PIK charges but that interest is now gone and it gives Utd more flexibility. You can continue to dream about our downfall but it will NOT happen any time soon.

That £135 million has been bandied about since 2009.Its exists in the same way as the Loch Ness Monster.Face it.You're skint.
The Glazers are sucking you dry only your too stupid to realise it.The days of Man United competing at the top table for players is over.I just hope you enjoy watching Ferguson sign over-priced portugese hobo's from now on.Obertan and Bebe are Man Uniteds level now.If you fancy an injury prone Liverpool reject like the one you signed in 2009.Salif Diao is available.

Lol, wheel out the fakht gun and KPR goes nuts as usual <laugh>

I love how even his attempts to wum end up with him spouting the same bitter old crap over and over <ok>

Does not exist? what are you telling ME the OFFICIAL public accounts are wrong? You are bitter and I am sorry that your club has sunk and is beyond repair. I am sorry for your bitterness but Liverpool is just going to get worse and worse and to be honest carroll is the best you can get and he cost you 35m <laugh>. Liverpool have never really competed for the title in 20 years and that won't change and to be honest I can't see you ever reaching the top 4 for maybe 5-10 years. Man Utd are improving and so will Arsenal and Chelsea and Man City and Spurs. 6th is the best you guys can get as you simply are not a attractive enough club. Small stadium, never competing for trophies and have a terrible squad.

This season has been a great one for us for obvious reasons. But Utd have now brought in Smalling, Rafa, Fabio, Hernandez, Anderson, who have all played at least 20 games each and have shown their great talents. Utd have a great core of young players coming in and Welbeck and Cleverly will both come into the squad next season coupled with 3 signings. We are not skint and the books show this, we have bought well something Liverpool have not.

Anderson<laugh>
Anderson apart from being one of the fattest footballers in the premier league has one talent, and that is his ability to pass the ball to the opposition.
Probably the worst £20 million footballer ever. Before you mention Aquilani. That was the total deal based on success.Liverpool only paid £10 million, seeing as he didn't and won't have any success,Roma only get another £800k maximum, and thats when he's sold to either AC Milan or Juventus in the summer.
I would rather have £35 million Andy Carroll aged 22 than £32 million Dimitar Berbatov aged 27.Andy Carroll can only improve,Berbatov can only get worse.Which is in itself quite difficult.
As for your ''manageable debt'' wouldn't you prefer to be like Liverpool who have little or no debt.Martin Skrtel cost £5.8 million not £6.5 million.Secondly Liverpool only paid £11 million in cash for Glen Johnson as Portsmouth owed Liverpool £7 million on the Crouch transfer. Its a common thing when the two same clubs do business over different players, they knock money off when one owes the other money.Liverpool did it with Michael Owen.Real Madrid owed Liverpool £4 million on the Owen transfer,so Liverpool gave them £2 million for Morientes. To put it in ''pre-school terms'' supposing you loan someone £20 and a week later you borrow £25 off them, then you only owe them £5.Its easier for an uneducated salford to understand.

You've got to admire how easily KPR picks himself up from being proven wong and moves onto the next delusion.

As for your ''manageable debt'' wouldn't you prefer to be like Liverpool who have little or no debt.

Not really. Cos Utd's operating profits make them worth over £1 billion, whilst Liverpool is worth about £300 million. The only reason Liverpool have no debt is FSG was able to buy them from the bargain bins.

I'd rather be the club with £100 million operating profits and £40 million interest payments than the club with £25 million operating profits and £3 million interest payments. Oh, and I'd rather be the club in the final of the Champions League than the one that got booted out of the EL by a team that got hammered 6-0 by Arsenal <ok>

When someone is stupid, deluded and bitter all at the same time, there is nothing you can do. You can throw all the facts at Pepe and Liverpool fans for the matter but it won't change anything because they have convinced themselves Man Utd are in a decline and that we will go bust. They beleieve Liverpool will rise from the dark and win everything in sight. Everyone knows deep down that this Liverpool side is FINISHED!!!. That was confirmed IMHO when they signed Carrol for 35m <laugh>.

Well at least we could afford to spend £35 million<doh>
We sold whatshisface to Chelsea for a £30 million profit. You'll be lucky to get £30 for Hargreaves.
We have a nice transfer kitty this summer.Man United offered £20 million and Carrick for Luka Modric.Old Harry said why would we take back a player we robbed you blind on?He wasn't worth what we paid West Ham for him.

Yes well done you spent a net profit of not much over 0m. I can't be bothered to waste my time on you anymore as like I said you are death, blind, bitter and stupid.

Wow, a £30 million profit. What did we get for Ronaldo again? <ok>

Tho' it's good to see you admitting that you needed to sell to buy <laugh>

Sooner or later you are going to have to admit that all utd's players aren't rubbish because they are quite a way above you.

Shhhh...don't let reality intrude on his delusions...
