That was tough viewing. I still viewed the Mourinho days as my favourite days as a Chelsea fan. Not because we won stuff but just because of the vibe around the club. Grown men in tears after Bolton away, and jubilation around SW6 the following year as we thumped United. It was us against the world and I loved it. Mourinho put us on a pedestal and made us believe we were the best. He completely destroyed the inferiority complex at the club.

I still remember Ranieri's last game. That was probably as emotional as I've ever been watching football. I could have cried a river for that man, never thought I'd have the same affection for any other manager.

There is a phrase in football "no man is bigger than the club", Jose is the only exception to that rule. He was bigger than Chelsea, simple as. Not just bigger than us though, bigger than Inter, Real, bigger than football itselg. A genius well ahead of his time.

I still (perhaps delusionally in the eyes of some) he'll come back to Chelsea.

    Best Manager Ever.

If you don't like Mourinho, you simply aren't a football fan

Was choked up during some of the clips during that, the ultimate nostalgia. Hope he returns, sooner rather than later.

Wish you lot could have been appreciative of AVB as Mourinho obviously was/is as a person.

Mourinho knows what he's talking about.

    Jose over Pep every time.
Jose is probably the only good manager who wants anything to do with our dysfunctional club anyway, he won't take any **** from RA.

No one doubts that AVB is a great manager in the making, what is apparent is the way he evidently ****ed himself with a very simple minded approach to managing a group of players he previously handed DVD's out to on a monday.

He ****ed it, he lost the respect of the dressing room and he got sacked with a massive pay off.

He still behaves the same way, it's just that he wasn't the tea boy at Spurs before he was the manager.

Such a passionate man, so dedicated to the game and his team, and just what we need at the moment to fire our lads back up, oh and the added bonus of course for us ladies such sex appeal and much better eye candy than the screwed up face we have to listen to now.

That wouldn't be legal, unless he did something sackable. If not (and I mean in a legal sense) then you have to pay up his contract unless there was a break clause.

I think the Spurs players respect him and vice versa, some of you can carry on telling yourselves otherwise.

Anyway as that woman from Norwich would say. 'let's be havin ya!'

In the Europa after tonight that is...right I need to go and get myself a Juve avatar for tonight.

    No such thing.

Players are individuals. Some will like a manager and some won't. That's the same in any walk of life. What made Mourinho special was that even those who weren't involved in the big matches and benchwarmers had nothing but love and respect for him.

AVB made Anelka and Alex train with the reserves, treated Lampard and Drogba like used toys. No manager will ever win over the dressing room like that.

Nobody doubts that AVB is an excellent coach, but he is a piss poor manager. Thankfully the management side of things can be developed. I think coaching is more nature than nurture.

What's funny is that every Chelsea fan to a man loved and admired Mourinho but the media and rival fans hated him, it's only when he left Chelsea people actually appreciated how talented and special he was. That either says a lot about the neutral's blind hatred of Chelsea or Mourinho's character. Both IMO.

If any football fan is being honest they'd love him at their club. I've even had Arsenal and Spurs mates admit this to me.
