Whether or not Mr Short hands out a "war chest"
remains to be seen, however I think there's some good dealing to be done that wouldn't cost the earth. For instance.

    Gordon
    bardsley
    bramble
    turner
    warnock
    s.larrson
    cattermole
    henderson
    nzogbia
    gyan
    bothroyd

    Larrson, bothroyd Free
    Warnock, Nzogbia £10m?

Best case scenario this leave a good few £m to look for a top quality goal scorer and if possible an additional centre back

    Thoughts?

Cheers. I'm hoping time as they say is the best healer and all those injured are fit and raring to go next season.

Bramble and Turner is not a centre back pairing which would fill me with confidence, tbh

One would hope so. Just as long as they are raring to go at our club!

I can't ever remember any other team going through the amount of injuries that we have this season. It can't happen again next season......................can it?

They were our first pairing during the first half of the season. They were great together and were responsible for a great number of the clean sheets that we had earlier in the season.

exactly, beat me to it. Doesn't matter if you're for or against bruce being manager next season you just have to wonder how many points we'd have if we hadnt had so.many injuries

In all honesty, probably not many more points, because we lost our best striker and he wasn't replaced. We don't have anyone at our club who comes close to the scoring ratio of DB. It is going to be exceptionally difficult to recruit someone with the same scoring ability come the summer.

I think we'd have a couple more points. Even looking at the Fulham game if we'd just stuck one of the malbranque/cattermole chances I think we'd have won that game. I thought we played very well in the first half but you could see fulham grow in confidence and endeavor when they realised we couldn't score in a brothel.

Yes, every word is correct. We had some great chances to score, but that has been our problem for the last few months, we are not taking those chances that a DB type of player would have put away with his eyes shut.

Depends on who the manger is, if its Half Season Bruce he'll have to do something different to avoid the it happening again.

Nzogbia has 6 goals from midfield this season, not too shabby. I dare say wigan would be dead in the water without him

My thoughts exactly. We need goals from midfield next season. Henderson is starting to do it, Richardson would def do it (if he gets played there!), Catts doesn't do it, Sess might start to do it, but N'Zogbia would DEF do it.

N'Zogbia is a massively overrated, overpaid, moronic cretin.
