Hey guys arsenal fan here. Wrote something on Ramsey of you're interested. http://freshfootball.co.uk/post/37121101233/aaron-ramsey-a-class-overlooked
Good article. While not having the benefit of seeing him play regularly I had similar thoughts but couldn't express them so well. Another factor could be the apparent lacks of confidence and direction which appear to be affecting Arsenal at present. As I see it he is in and out of the side and asked to play different roles which cannot do him any good. Another thought crossing my mind was that if, and that is a big IF at this stage of the season, we were to get promoted then we would need to bring in a number of players of Premier League quality. If Arsenal's and Ramsey's season continues in the current mediocre fashion, is he someone Arsenal and maybe a new manager would see as surplus and look to offload? That being the case, and as we would be flush with cash from the promotion, I for one would love to see him back at Cardiff. He and Whittingham would present an awesome midfield pairing.
as mentioned in the article i certainly hope not. He has shown more than a few glimpses of quality. Its just a question of putting it all together. Any other teams manager would've dropped him to be fair but wenger obviously (along with many others!) sees something special in him. It is plausible as much as i hate to admit it wenger may leave at the end of the season and if so you may be right but i for one certainly hope you aren't though he definitely deserves considerably better treatment for all hes been through and all he has left to offer.
he looked good when he first went to arsenal, since the injury hasnt ever done well enough to command a spot in his best position which is either as a centre mid with license to attack or in the whole behind the striker. he's not a wide midfielder and never will be, but he needs to up his level of performance as he seems to have lost alot of hunger and sharpness when on the ball. we need him to improve as wales fans.
Interesting concept and not a bad article but you could do with some proof reading.....especially if you are going to use big or unusual words. Commas are useful things too. Are you German? They like to write paragraph-long sentences too.
cb, It looks like your fans are not on the same wave length as you. Rambo given some jip last night, send him home.
haha no I'm Pakistani though ive been living in london for 7 yrs now. Yeah paragraphs and run on sentences tend to be my weak point
It seems to me that Arsenal have become stale and need some fresh faces, they have one of the best managers around IMO. Arsenal was known as boring Arsenal for a long time but Wenger made them a good footballing side and IMO can still do the business.
arsenal would do well to get a manager half the quality of wenger if they were to move him on, there would be a queue of many top clubs in world football all wanting him to be their manager.
Arsenal were poor all over the park last night however they were doing okay until half time when Rosicky was taken off. Arshavin replaced him and was useless. If Rosicky had stayed on I'm sure they would have done better as he was causing the Greeks a lot of problems. Don't know if he was injured or taken off as a precaution to keep him fit for the weekend. Ramsey was okay while Rosicky was on as he was a great outlet but once he went off Ramsey's game suffered and he was either caught in possession or made poor passes on may occasions. The Mail gave him a score of 5 but somehow Gervinho got 7 . Apart from Rosicky none of them were worth more than 5. I know it was far from a full strength side but Arsenal look to have major problems as even their young star Oxlade-Chamberlain didn't seem to know where he should play or what he should do. Ramsey should come home to us where he will be appreciated and renew his confidence.
I personally don't think Ramsey has 'lost it'. I watched all the team GB games and I thought he was one of, if not, the best player in the team. In fact the team looked clueless and really stale when he wasn't playing. I don't know how he plays at arsenal, but i'm sure if he played in his preferred position and with the right players he will be an asset to any team. Personally, as a cardiff fan, I would love to see him at cardiff as an attacking playmaker and whitts as a defensive playmaker. That would be one beast of a midfield!
When we go up, perhaps Rambo is on MM's wish list, if Wenger doesnt play him, cant see why we cannot get him on loan in January window for the rest of the season. Would show our true intent of getting to the Promised land, and if our neighbours can turn Arsenal over then why cant we. I think we may start seeing a change in power at the top of the premier league with the exception of the Mancs.
