Yes I did, I remember one trip to Leeds, a guy called Pete Tanton was on the bus and the bus stopped on the way back, for a number of us to releave ourselves and somene decided to debag Pete, and he had a big boil on his neck and it bust all over the place, what a mess. That trip I was so pissed I stayed at my girl friends and ended up pucking all over her bedroom carpet. Great times though.

I bet you never won the sweepstake on the time the coach pulled up in the Templenewsam car park.I entered every time but the driver had it rigged so that the Captain or best player always won even if he had to do two or three dodgy manoevres in the car park before he switched off the engine. I played my first time the year they opened the redesigned longest hole (over 600yards and the faiway was like a gravel pit with rocks strewn everywhere.
ps just a word on Ken Harrisons address he must have moved up to Wolfreton Lane long after I left Hull because Wolfreton was slightly more classy and expensive and out of his price bracket in my days.(Bank Managers and Company Business owners) He lived to my knowledge on Willerby road about 5 houses past Ridgeway Rd towards the golfcourse.When he first joined the Tigers he was single and lived with a family called "Jennings" just behind the shop on the corner of Manor Road.

Great trips they were, I always remember having dirty feet after playing there, and it was more or less built on a coal tip. On Ken Harrison, he must have moved then, as Tony his son always came through the fence at the end of their garden and played the 17th and 18th and then up the first. As a matter of interest I lived down Ridgeway for a number of years after I was married.
 
Yes both parents were there in 77 and my brother sold the house in 94 when mother died,dad having passed away 5 years before. You must have bought either the Parkes or Sutcliffes house then.

Time for bed its past 4am here.

Originated from Hessle, ahh remember match days as a 14/15/16yr old walking from Hessle in the late seventies and running the Gauntlet of the Boothferry Estate lot (deadly enemies in them days), oh what fun we had ! Think our little feud actually hit headlines in the Hull Daily Mail at one point. Oh the good old days ...

It still is one building but the school only uses over half the building with the rest being a youth club, some woman's group and special education needs type place.

Yes I did know it still there have done a few jobs there and some of the gran kids recently went to the primary school, I fid it amusing it is still standing when they have demolished Kelvin and built a new one in it's place

For me personally knowing them both, local, North Hull lads, living in walking distance from each other ( 19th Ave And Sutherland off Endike),It was alway great to see them playing "on the big stage", regardless of the your observations ( though, i will not argue against it).

I remember an evening match against Newcastle (must of been 88/89), in which Nicky played really well (we lost 2-1). I was living there at the time, and dragged my brother-in-law ( who was studying at the Uni at the time, and still hasn't come home.), and his flat mate (Trogg).
After the match, we had to stay behind for the obligatory 10 mins, then was allowed to leave. That night, it seemed that 99% of City supporters had come by coach, so us three ventured out from SJP, to be met by the Newcastle hard core. Well, looking at the ratio between them and us, we got on our toes. It must of looked like a scene from Benny Hill. They ran us ****ing ragged, all the way back to my car (I hadn't even has a drink, though i needed one !).
We managed to get in the car and escape. Saying that, my car was kicked and bricked to ****.
Took a bit of explaining to the Mrs (only could afford one car back then).

29. I did pretty much knack all round there away from Clarendon/Collingwood Primary (it changed name while I was there) and the land within a block of it. Lived down Albany Street before I shifted Wold Road way.
 
Hi everyone, I wondered if anybody can help. I am looking for an Arthur Ashton. I haven't seen him for over 20 years. We lived in Bransholme but I have no idea where as I left when I was very young and have no way of finding out the street name. The only thing I remember is going to a park that was made from the dark wood that used to smell a certain way when it rained. This park was in front of some houses (I think) I know this is a long shot. Please help. Lea
