Sporting rivalry's are a great thing for the neutral but can be a horror of a time for the fans of the losing team. Winning is what its all about and today the Washington Redskins take on their number 1 enemy, the New York Giants...!!! - Although everybody heats the Dallas Cowboys...!!!

This is the one game that i look for when the fixture schedule comes out and its the one that i want the Skins to win more than any other. This will be a battle royal of the passing game of the Skins versus the more predominately rushing game of the Giants. Saying that Eli Manning is no shrinking violet when it comes to his passing game but the main focus will be on Robert Griffen III. I do hope that this lad can get the Redskins up to the standard needed to get into the play-offs on a more regular basis and build them into a potential SuperBowl winner. That is a while off yet as i look across to the recently crowned Champs of the Giants, it is with a team that dosn't have the real super stars of the game but probably has the best team ethic in the NFL...

Can the Redskins get up to beat the Giants, well i bloody hope so. With A current 3-3 record a win will take them level with the Giants and make an already tough conference into a real battle to who will get out of the group and begin the run to the SuperBowl...

The heart says the Redskins to just nick a win against the Giants... The head says the Giants by 12 points...!!!

    Let the battle commence...!!!

Washington Redskins 23 - 27 New York Giants...

My heart nearly got it right until that sh1thouse Manning hit Victor Cruz with a 77 yard TD... Barsteward...!!!

The Redskins nearly pulled off a great win in New York, and although they had the better stats for the game the result wasn't in their favour... Nearly aint good enough though...

The Redskins visit the Steelers next week in one tough place to go, where RG3 will come up against another SuperBowl winning QB in Ben Roethlisberger... Game on...!!!

There were some tight games this week. I think a few supporters would have been clutching their chests. I am just glad that the Packers seem to have turned things about a bit. However, we still give away WAY too many points. Someone needs to slap the defence awake. we cannot afford to keep giving away 20+ points. Arron Rogers is just one man!!!! Although Cobb seems to be everywhere at once.

Its a problem that the Redskins seem to have also... Scored 200 points, conceded 201... The fact that they have a 3W 4L record just shows how different it could be if they just hold on or nick the close ones...

They are a better side than last year and a lot of that is down to RG3, but, just as youve pointed out about the Packers and Rogers, one man dos not make a team...

I anticipate that it will be a long hard season for us both. If RG3 or Rogers/Cobb get hurt then that could well be the end of it.

Fourth quarter Eli does it again. The man has ice in his vains, imo hes the best QB in the league for delivering under pressure when the game is on the line and to think that some so called experts like Tiki Barber still question Elis leadership ability.

Great game from both teams and I can see the Redskins going places with that RG3, he looks pretty good.

I watched the Monday Night game. RG III is going to be a handful in the NFC East for a lot of years to come.

Great game plan by the 'Skins to utilize his talents.

Agreed, but not just the NFC East, NFL in general..
Do you agree that, a bit like Vick he needs to learn not to take the hits he currently does, would be a GREAT shame to see such a talent get "knocked" out of the NFL (talking about RGIII not Vick).

It's great watching him play like that though. I used to hate it when McNabb used to do it to Tampa over and over.

But we had the last laugh:)

Cowboys/Redskins is the big rivalry, not Redskins/Giants.

I would say most neutrals tend to dislike both the Cowboys and the Giants. Giants because they are from NY, and Dallas because of the whole "America's Team" thing.

Back in the eighties my father went to Louisiana to visit his Aunt. I asked him to bring me back anything with the Bucs logo on it, preferably a cap, Tangerine colours in those days I didn't think he'd miss it.

He got me a Dallas Cowboys one.

    Made from corduroy.

Michael Vick was too prone to scramble from the pocket at the beginning of his career.
RGIII can also throw the ball accurately.
    Big advantage there.

The pass sets up the run, which sets up the pass.

I loved the three or four player backfield formations against the Giants last night.
RGIII running the option was quite impressive.

My wife, the NY Giants fan, was in shock at the talent he displayed.

Very true, I think you could catergorise Vick as a RB that can play QB and RGIII a QB with the ability to run.

    * I suggest she get used to it, he's gonna run that division for years to come.
