Great ride Mark Grant...very underrated jockey...thats 4 winners in the last fortnight.I remember him riding in Ireland a few years ago,his brother Danny rides on the flat there.

Wonder will he get a few days for that slap down the horses neck at the last

That has to go down as one of the most impressive bumper debuts ever! What price for the Festival and how come the yard didn't punt it to odds on? McCoy never moved.

Two heads short of a blinding day. Cannot believe Lastkingofscotland nearly went off at 10/1 on BF and 5/2 was readily available on the place market. Not bad for a horse i had down as a 4/1 shot. I agree Stick, super performance by Kings Palace at Plumpton, to come away like that on the bridle up that hill takes some doing. Looks a future star in the making.

My good EW shout did as all good EW shouts, finishing 4th in a 3 place market. Always another day, notebook filling up with more AW platers.

25-1 with Stan James for the Festival bumper Gal. If only we knew what Pipe had in mind for it. Not a race he usually targets.

    ill give you 5 million/1

beat widden pallets 18 lengths on a monday at plumpton <laugh> champion bumper <laugh>

freakishly poor animals making an average animal look special

mullins will have one win a decent bumper by 18 lengths at a decent meeting, and it might not be his best <ok>

Strikes me more as a Neptune horse tbh, it'll be interesting to see how he gets on over hurdles.

You got in there before I could! What a load of utter rubbish. A Plumpton bumper on a Monday for David Pipe! A recipe for Champion Bumper winners i think not.

What's your point? I'm sure you aren't insinuating that racing on a Monday is as good as racing on a Wednesday.

Having been a regular at both tracks on a Monday & Wednesday, i can assure you there is very little difference in terms of quality.

Let me rephrase your own view

"You got in there before I could! What a load of utter rubbish. A Fontwell bumper on a Wednesday for Colin Tizzard! A recipe for Champion Bumper winners i think not."

Judge the horse, not the race or day it runs on

Absolutely. On the issue of Kings palace i don't think i could back a Pipe horse for the Champion Bumper as i'm still sulking over the non appearance of Gevery Chambertin last year!
