Call this the fickle thread and make it a sticky.
Then we can watch the fans of Chelsea, Arsenal & Spurs lurch between hope and despair, confidence and doubt etc over the season depending whether they're on a winning or losing streak.
The point is that NONE of these sides are consistent in either performances or results so the brazenness of Chelsea fans in October with their title aspirations has made way for their humility now that their team can't win a game. And so it will continue over the remainder of the season.
Spurs have won three in a row, but before that they lost three in a row. They won at OT, but lost at home to Wigan.
So it's right to say it will be unpredictable, wrong to draw any conclusions about the capabilities of these teams at this stage.
Yeah, lets all react to every result with a shrug as we're not as consistent as the Mighty United

3-2 Reading currently...
I think you look at it the wrong way, the league isn't weaker, its stronger. Lots of teams are playing great football now and on their day are beating top sides. This rarely happened before, when the league was weak...bar 4 teams. A close run thing is exactly what we want isn't it. I'm sick of the old days of basically a rotating 2 out of 4 battling it out year on year.
