Lambert seems the only one up for this game from soton.
 
14 attempts first half we seriously need to be more clinical its what cost us last year. Least Someone other then Suarez scored today <diva>

Agree, 3-0 with Suarez getting 2 would be good for my FF team and my prediction <ok>

oh, and of course for us moving up the table
 
Great first half performance, we completely dominated. Would still like to see us convert more of our chances though!
 
Good first half (from what I saw) and a good goal from a corner (sort of) for a change. No Suarez involvement either, Agger-do-do-do adding his name to the scorer list <ok>

We definitely need a second, if for no other reason then to calm the players nerves. If we are only one up going into the final fifteen to twenty minutes we will start to drop deeper and deeper inviting the pressure on ourselves!
 
Can't believe how much tighter our midfield looks with Lucas in there, even if his passing hasn't been the best so far (we can excuse him after barely playing in 2 years!). Gerrard is much more imposing in the game now that he can sit further up and Allen, well, looks better I guess.

Shelvey looks good in the number 9 role also...almost scored a cracker!

Not sure you an completely credit that to Lucas, Southampton have not exactly run us rigid in there <ok>

We had 14 attempts but most of them weren't clear cut. That's the problem - we drive into the box often but we lack the final ball.

The midfield looks so much more balanced. Lucas is picking up from where he left off but his passing is a little rusty as expected. Allen looks a lot better today and Gerrard is attacking well. The pressing is fantastic and we're dominating .

I would still prefer Enrique as LW - feels like he's wasted at LB.

EDIT - Southampton have been poor and have given us a lot of space, so the above comments could be misleading.

Is that becase we've not let them play? could quite easily back off and give them the ball but sounds like we are staying on the front foot and putting them under perssure t giving them the chance to play.
 
1. southampton are a trash outfit and everyone knows it they cannot defend so we have to be scoring more.

2. 3-0? i want to see us play the 90 and score then not sit back

3. quiet and anfield... its a joke at anfield frankly and it needs sorting. no fortress can be a fortress of solitude unless you've superman visiting every now and again to call his father. We need some noise going on.
