All aboard the banter bus to the Southampton board! We're departing at 15:00 on Wednesday.

http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/181294-Southampton-v-Norwich-City-match-thread/

We've got a charming hotel booked called "Travel Lodge" and we'll be coming back on the Thrusday morning. I've already cleared it with all of your Misses' so there's no problem there. I'm driving so bring along some beers for the journey.

All aboard!

Come on you yellers!

A draw was probably about fair. Ryan Bennett was excellent, Tettey was sensational. Other than that not a particularly special performance, but then we're not going to turn up and beat many teams at their own ground.

Very good point I think, they have hit a bit of form so good result and another solid performance. 8 games unbeaten now! OTBC

I thought Tettey was an absolute beast, first half in particular.

Disappointed with Snodgrass' contribution... again. Yes, yes I know he scored, but lets face it it was a gift, not brilliant skill that got him the goal. Apart from that he lost possession, made poor choices with the ball and generally looked pretty innefective. It was crying out for Benno a good ten to fifteen minutes before he eventually came on to inject a bit of pace into that flank.

Another point on the board and it stopped the Saints picking up any more than us so we mustn't grumble too much.

Another good point on our travels but a little concerned with the attacking play tonight.

Agreed Thai. It is hard to know where a goal is coming from in open play at the moment. We look incredibly short up front in attacking options. Holt must be well peeved at the complete lack of service coming his way.

With free scoring Sunderland on Sunday I cannot wait for the goal fest that awaits!!!

Yet another accurate prediction from the Beeb's so called football expert. I believe that's three games in a row now that he has predicted Norwich defeats. What a kn-b.

Happy with point, always knew it would be a tough game and picking any points up away from home is a good thing for clubs like us. Next up though is a HUGE HUGE game, at home against a dire sunderland side and we have to take advantage plus following home league game is Wigan!

I will settle for a 1-0 win Chris as long as we picking up points I will live with it. It might bore the arse of other teams fans but that is not a concern for me  The pretty stuff can come after we accumulate 40 points <laugh>

He just doesn't like us or Swansea. His current table has us 6 places lower than we are, and Swansea 7. I'm more than happy for us to keep proving him wrong. Southampton board were excellent hosts tonight, but some of the pre-game comments aluding to sorting out their goal difference I always felt would be wide of the mark, and once again our defence have been rock solid.

Unfortunately I don't know how we should tinker to get the goals going again. We seem to need both CDM's, although I'd like us to give Fox a go alongside Tettey and see how that partnership goes. Perhaps one to try once we've hit 40 points though.

Agree about Snodgrass Acle, made a similar point on another thread recently, also I would give Fox a go as DH says. Based on today's game and Reading game seemed as though we really could have won had we possessed a bit more attacking potent and pace. Fox and Bennett could be the difference in the sense, maybe Howson a go as well because at least he can help Fox out a little bit if we end up soaking a bit of pressure like we did today in the first half.

Absolutely no way we can change the team until we get beaten several games in a row. We are accumulating points in a fashion unlike us but it is working. We know we can't stand off Man City likethat we'll get murdered but 8 man defence when they have the ball is our tactic at the moment.
We still create moments but some woeful crossing from Pilkington in particular meant that it wouldn't have mattered if we had had 6 in the box.
I don't agree about Fox at all. He is a central midfielder and can't tackle to save his life. If any change for me it would be Bennet for Snodgrass. But then again Snodgers scored and he might have had a reasonable shout for a penalty at the death.

Snoodys body language was really bad as well. The fans were singing for Benno to come on as welll
Tettey was really good and Braders

Er, just seen on the pink un that ruddy is out for up to three months <yikes>
