At my age you often find that sitting in the armchair in an afternoon when you are fed up with the papers, the tele and watching it rain, your mind drifts off wondering about the imponderables of life. Who cares a toss whether we can split an atom or not? Why does anybody actually buy and read the Daily Express? Why, apart from Carol Kirkwood, do TV Companies only employ Weathergirls with no tits? And the biggest imponderable of them all - why do we get so attached to our Football Clubs? Why does anybody want to spend a months disposable income flying across the continent to support their Team in a meaningless European competition? Why does an Accrington supporter, knowing his Team will always be a lower league Club, feel the need to spend a weekend travelling forwards and backwards to Plymouth to watch his side lose? My 3 great interests are golf, the theatre and football. Three times I had to move away because of my work. I found another golf club, I found another theatre but I always kept my season ticket at Carrow Road and came back for every home match. Why?
