1.3m is sensible gamble, with current form who knows where we will find ourselves playing next season.

Worst case we're still in the championship with a proven 22 year old goal scorer.

I think as a whole WBA would be pushing there luck to ask for more, he is coming to the end of a contract! the big fear is he goes and signs for someone else when his contract ends on more than we can pay! :/

Can we bag him on a pre-contractual agreement Neil or is it different because of his age? <ok>

i think you need to bag players on a pre contract if they are youth or under 23 so maybe a poss? but i dont know how it works!

bottom line and i think we will all agree, we cant be spending money we dont have... no point risking the club making offers we can sustain in the long run! if we have the money for a 1.3 million bid,... then i say pay it! if we dont have the money then dont!

1.3 Million should be found to sign this guy <ok>

Agree with MFC who knows where we will be playing next season worse senario championship he bags another 10 goals this season you can sell him get your dosh back <ok>

Keep next season bags 20/25 goals big clubs will want him double your money <ok>
If we go up and he still bags goals treble or fourfold your money <ok>

if the goals dry up sell him to Norwich <laugh>

WE MUST GET THIS GUY IN he could fire us to the prem <yikes>

agree to a point... but cant have another loan to perm flop! how many times do we see it! spend a chunk of money on a player! whack him on a 12k a week 3 year deal and suddenly he is injured or stops scoring (Dichio you git! ha ha) then we sell him for a 3rd of the price and the sod starts scoring again!

ok this is the question... say we have 10 million quid in the bank to do with as we see fit.. could be anything.. players traing facilities a night out down Browns (pound in the pot) how much would you be willing to spend on signing this kid up (taking away the 1.3 apperently agreed) you had to make an offer that WBA would jump at straight away so we have him 1st of Jan as a Millwall perm player!

    GO!

Well Wood wants to play for us and as it stands we look a contender for playoffs. Plus he's more or less in starting 11each game.

West Brom are heading for Champions League ;) so they don't even need him to be fair.

Possible disaster I see is rafa calling back lukaku in Jan to assess his players so west brom then take back Wood as he's scoring goals.

And he could still be sitting on the bench for the Baggies whereas with us he's picking himself so he needs to look at the bigger picture - bid £1m <ok>
