Why is Benitez the target of so much abuse from the fans, surely it should be Abromovich who is the target of abuse as he's the one who sacked Di Matteo and hired Benitez? Benitez was just offered a job and took it (the same as me, if someone actually ****ing offered me a job, but I digress), you can't blame him for that.

Also, according to Trizia Fiorellino, Avram Grant would also have been an unacceptable choice of manager, why exactly is this? He got you to a Champions League final after all, that seems ridiculously harsh. Plus, any manager who managed to get us into the cup final, beating Southampton and Redknapp on the way is fine by me!

I think its because we're all feeling very let down and that the clubs reputation has suffered! Benitez would not have got a single vote from any Chelsea fan if it was an election, simply because of the foul things he has spoken about us before he was appointed!

He insulted us on numerous occasions whilst on the throne at Pool.

Spot on, plus he is such a braggart and has a whiney voice. His beard is also soooooo yesterday and he looks ridiculous in his training shorts.

Yeah fair enough (although personally I do think you should give him a chance) but Avram Grant? He's a legend!

  7. @ the OP...

Relax, fella! Sit back, settle down, and tune in on Saturday/Sunday nights. The Mad Dog & Coco Show has finally come to our screens!

I know! I cannot believe it any more than the Chelsea boys, most of whom find themselves still blinking into the blazing glare of its reality. But, it's true! Last season, it was The Queen Kenny & Goofy Show, and that was, at times, blinding entertainment; but I'm betting that this season's fare is going to top that by a long chalk.

I don't know who this Trizia person is or who and how many people they claim to represent but to have a pop at Avram is shameful. Not only does he have the better win% than jose but he was also magnificent with Lamps when his mother passed. Indeed, the way he handled that whole situation was a big reason many of the sceptical players rallied around and did so well under him.

Trizia doesn't speak for me and he/she shouldn't speak for many with regard to Avram.

Exactly. I don't think many Chelsea fans wanted Avram because he is not seen as a top class manager and seen as Roman's pet; but to put Avram in the same bracket as Benitez thus reducing him to some sort of hate figure for the fans is wildely off the mark.

Avram did a good job in the few months he was here and always conducted himself well and with class not matched by many of the other top managers in this country.
