Bloody impressive the way he's picked up the lingo so quickly. He speaks French so well, even I can understand it.

My first response was to agree with all of the above. Then I remembered the way I spoke a sort of simplified English (and why I did it) when living abroad for a few years and now I'm inclined to think if does him credit:
