Confirmed on your website.

Only until the end of the season though which means he's got an incentive.

I think he'll do well but will ultimately get fired for that other bloke.

Interim manager, won't get fired. We're so obviously waiting for Pep or Jose.

Well....

Technically Fergie also finished second in 92 and he won a CWC at the first attempt after English clubs were unable to compete in Europe for 5 years.

Of course the real difference is obvious. Fergie continued to improve where as Rafa started well and went backwards.

So you think Utd would have been the Champions of Europe if the ban hadn't happened.<laugh>

He won only 2 domestic trophies during his 1st 6yrs and going by your logic that should have been more due to the ban so why didn't it happen?

Because Utd were ****e during that time.<ok>

That he did and not sure how he should of won more because of the ban. Its possible he may of won more without the ban but thats irrelevent.

He has since won more than most clubs have ever won. Rafa since his glorious early naughties has won some laughable cups in italy <ok>

You Chelsea fans should back him now UIR.<ok>

Plenty of non local Liverpool heroes UIR, Bob Paisley and Shanks and players like Kenny and Rushie etc, Rafa was a hero but the ladyboy wasn't.

Forgot to add recent <ok>

Torres was, all you Liverpool fans kept telling everyone how amazing he was and how he was Liverpools number 9, el nino etc etc.

Just like you are doing with Suarez right now, who coincidently has to take the blame for Benitez getting the Chelsea job <ok>

Abramovich really does not care about the fans <laugh>

When did I say that, if you read earlier I said that they played some great football that season. I was just mentioning one of their big wins that season.

Some said Arsenal played great football for years.

Though what you and I call great may differ. Personally great football wins things not nothing.

With Liverpool's squad back then they played much better than I would have expected them to, I would not have expected them to run Man Utd so close that season. That's my point. With that group of players they had a great season to come second imo.

Do you remember their side?

Reina, Gerrard, Alonso, Torres.

The rest were not on their level but these at the time were top class players. They were the best Liverpool had had in 2 decades. They failed.

I do remember their team, they had a few quality players but they did not have the same quailty of players that Man Utd had then. Compare the teams and you should see that there was no shame in Liverpool coming second that season.
