Poor premier league record? Is that just because he never won it? He got them to top four most seasons, with an average Liverpool side and won a champions league with them. The only real top players that I can think that he had were Torres, Gerrard, Reina and Xabi Alonso. Maybe others can remind me of other quality players that they had but I cant think of any off the top of my head.

Mascherano, Carragher in his prime, Garcia. Granted he did get top 4 most seasons but there was no real competition hence why they were called the top 4 for so long.

But I didn't merely "guess" his sacking, I said that he was favourite to be the first high-profile manager to get sacked this season. I also said that he would be gone by the New Year.

Everyone on this board - everyone - rubbished me. But, I was correct, wasn't I? On both counts.

Shall we remind you of the predictions that didn't come off?!?!?

Let's start with Chelsea v Barca last year.....

Oh aye forgot about Mascherano. i still think they had a weak squad overall. He did a great job at Valencia as well. He had an awful time at Inter but it was a very difficult job considering how well his predecessor performed and the players didnt really suit the style of play that he wanted

Even for Roman, this is crazy. Still, I was always under the impression that Abramovich didn't really want to make RDM the manager in the first place. Hence the short contract he was on.

Benitez is a good manager, but that is irrelvant as we are talking about managing Chelsea under Abramovich here.

He is an absolute muppet who just doesn't understand football.

Even Alex Ferguson & Guardiola would struggle to last more than 2 seasons under Abramovich.

Shocking decision to sack Roberto.

And now you're getting Rafa.

Yet another icon you've pinched!

Given the lack of options available its unlikely that any manager would succeed in this restricted environment especially as the team has to win but win with style; at this stage we face a real dog fight to secure the last 2 CL places.....I stand to be corrected.

I find it astounding that RDM has been sacked. Just how brilliant do you have to be?

Football has no soul at Chelsea... not with Abramovic there.

What will happen when the finanacial fair play rules come into play? He has simply been throwing money at the squad but soon will have to put faith in a longer-term solution... RDM was a fantastic prospect as a manager... instead Chelsea bring in the the fat sack of Spanish wine Rafa Benitez!!?? <doh>

Tesco wouldn't give him a job in the last two years since Inter sacked him after 6 months of abject failure.

Frankly, Chelsea deserve everything coming to them - it's all the doing of Roman Abramovic. <ok>

Good luck Chelsea fans.

At least you'll be able to get cheaper car insurance.

Coco is still going to be doing the Go Compare ads, isn't he?

I shouldn't really turn this into a tit for tat but i'm willing to wager you were raging when Ashley gave Hughton the boot. As a watford fan i was certainly livid that they fired Dyche in the summer. A lot of chairmen are pretty trigger happy - it just so happens that roman's got the money to fire a few more bllets than the others and I recokon of more were in his position they'd do exactly the same. I don't know about other people but i'm really beginning to fall out of love with the game with the way it's going

Or the 'Tottenham vs Chelsea' from this season prediction?

Again, that wasn't really a prediction, was it? Any fan "predicting" that their team will beat another team, especially one that is clearly on better form that you, is more an expression of hope.

If I could predict the result of every game, I wouldn't be sat here having a virtual conversation with you, trust me.

I thought you'd won 4 prem games prior to the spanking we gave you incl winning at OT. You saying that was bad form <whistle>

We got off to a bad start, if you remember. Then, it picked up a bit, but now we're back to where we started.

I'm worried that the mighty Spurs juggernaut is going to be marooned on the hard-shoulder for a while.
