Jackie Oatley, a Rangers supporting reporting for the People I think, she said with firm authority that he's gone, but then she is a reporter for the people and could just as easily be looking for predictions through a crystal ball.

I think it is a shame it hasn't worked for Hughes. I'd far rather it had worked for him than our current predicament as now we need a miracle worker to save us, but even if we do survive we have been put back a year as all the good work Hughes did do, such as the scouting system, back room staff and things like that, will all have to be restarted most likely.

I don't blame Hughes entirely unlike some who seem to see him as the anti christ. The players have under performed, the discipline a joke. But I think our biggest problem is we just weren't ready to be promoted. We didn't have a youth set up, academy or a scouting system. The club was basically a joke and it now shows. Hopefully Mike Rigg will stay on as he will help us no end. But unfortunately it's back to square one, squeaky bums for another 6 months and a few more hours off our lives dealing with the stress.

But hopefully whoever takes over, if the news is true, will get the team to play for each other and bring some pride back to the club, and give us all something to smile about.

Oh show a little humility for God's sake. You've been proven to be totally wrong on our summer signings. You were the one who smashed down those that questioned the intelligence of our transfer policy using all sorts of put downs.

There were plenty of people who disagreed with that little group headed by Flyer but they weren't disdainful in their arguments.

Not banned this week Swords?

My view has always been that for the good of the club I want things to work out for Hughes, simple, as it's what would have been best for the club seeing the investment that's been made. I don't think you can claim that any player that we've signed has had a chance to prove that they will work out simply because collectively so far they've been so bad. That doesn't mean they might not work out under a different manager. So take your silly little comments and do one.

The press office would have been told to say business as usual......anything other would be breaking the news and effectivley confirming so.

The only time the club will confirm in on the official site.

So let me get this straight. You stand by the signings that we've made and the posters who said that they weren't going to work out are still wrong?

Well, I suppose somewhere in your head, trying to square that circle makes some sort of sense but to everyone else it looks like you refuse to swallow your pride and just admit you got it wrong.

Can't say I'm surprised.

Good to see you back to your best swords. Here here.

Has Sparky been given a few extra matches on the proviso he will walk, if he fails to win the next two or three. Is this a cost cutting exercise.
We sack you now...or you walk in two or three matches....now that i understand

Me too. But Hughes has, by all accounts lost a lot of the players and he's definitely lost the crowd. Surely he's a dead man walking? Next game I'm not bothered about, but there are points to be had from Sunderland and Villa imo, but not with sparky I fear!

It'll be interesting at OT on Sat. 70 odd thousand mocking him

I'm in with the man u corporates, could be a strange old game
