to ask if its ok if we employe PAUL LAMBERT as our next manager ,we at IPSWICH seem to have this thing about employing managers that like conceding lots of goals ,maybe i should think about supporting another club ? now HARTLEPOOL may be the one.

That would be a real turn up for the books if he joined the Binners!

It would add so much spice to the Derby games.

I think he has probably got until Christmas until he is either fired or serious questions will be asked at Villa if things have not changed.

I'm not sure if even he would be able to get your ragtag team up though. See definition of Ragtag:

    rag·tag   /ˈrægˌtæg/ Show Spelled[rag-tag] Show IPA
    adjective
    1. ragged or shabby; disheveled.
    2. made up of mixed, often diverse, elements: a ragtag crowd.
    3. Ipswich Town FC.

I meant assuming he (PL) managed to get them up.

    Or Cup games maybe?

Have to be the league cup as I doubt they'll make the third round of the FA cup next season.

Oh you budgies are really showing your true colours on this thread! <ok>

How quick you are to slag off the greatest manager in your history who achieved back to back promotions and saved your sorry arses from almost certain oblivion! Call yourself fans? You should be bloody ashamed of yourselves for wishing the man future failure. Your team might be riding high at the moment but as usual you lot show a real lack of class it's embarassing!

I would agree with you if he wasn't suing us, but he is. The whole thing is so bizarre though (I still have no idea on what grounds either party is suing the other on) that, when everything comes to light, my opinion on PL may well swing again.

I for one will always be grateful for what PL did for us - it's just the way in which he left shortly after giving the reporter 'short shrift' after Drury's testimonial about not leaving. As for each party suing the other - why don't they just shake hands on it and call it quits???? Probably because both PL and DM are so stubborn!!!

i see nobody 'slagging' lambert off on this thread. its just light ribbing ffs! to say our fans have no class is extraordinary coming from an ipswich fan, the same fans who waved wads of cash in our faces, shouting 'we're ****ing loaded'... yeah - pure class you lot <doh>. and when lambert left, you couldn't wait to lap it up!! we on the other hand went on mass to villa park and were impeccable in our behaviour - very few clubs fans would have been as restrained as we were, and we were applauded by the villa fans for our respect towards petrov. we also have nothing but pleasant words for your former legend sir bobby robson. seriously, from what i've seen and heard over the years its our fans who show more class.

I would have thought that you would have seen the funny side of predicting your local rivals being thumped but your own team ended up getting whacked.

I am very grateful to Paul Lambert for what he did but he was a paid employee like any other. PL was good for norwich but Norwich was good for PL as well. Our success wasn't just down to him but was more to do with the drive and ambition of the directors, the players and our sensational fans.

It is a shame when people cannot laugh at themselves.

    Life is far too short.

Predictable default statement from you Supers as to be expected <ok>

Of course you never heard about the way we applauded Billy Sharp when he scored against us soon after his baby son passed away. We get nothing but praise for the way we conduct ourselves at away grounds up and down the country but hey of course you wouldn't recognise or acknowledge any of that would you. If the league was based on fantastic support Ipswich fans would be in the top 3 every season heavan knows we have suffered enough over the last few years but our fans are an absolute credit to the club and to Suffolk as a whole.
