i can remember admiring jose's man management when he said that in Ibrahimovic he had the best striker in the world. maybe he had a point?
Who would swap torres for him?

Torres would have scored that last goal with ease tonight <whistle>

Well I'm pretty sure that we will sign Falcao in January with Man City signing Suarez so all will be well :)

I want Jimmy Greaves back as a striker! I know he's getting on a bit , but I still reckon he's got a chance of overtaking Bobby Tamblings record before the seasons over!

if Greavsie and Tambling were playing in their prime these day's they would be Awesome,forget about Messi and Ronaldo,they would be nowhere near G&T

Amazing player who has been vastly under rated by English fans and press over the years. Much better player than Rooney for a start who most English drool over.

It's been said he never does it against the English. Well I think that can be put to bed given his last 2 performances against England and that MOM performcance v Arsenal in the San Siro last year.

Take age out of the equation and I'd rather have Ibra up front than Torres and any other striker in the premier league for that matter (though Aguero and RVP are top class too).

He's clearly a very talented player but he'd be very furstrating also. He's virtually the opposite of the way Torres is currently playing, he doesn't really give a **** and will do whatever he wants. He scored some superb goals last night but at the sametime when he was sent clean through on goal at 2-1(?) he opted to try and smash it first time from outside the area instead of taking it into the box or squaring it to his teammate.

ive been saying for years that Ibrahimovic was World Class and have been laughed at and told im crazy by people that think Welbeck and Sturridge are World Class nobody who has seen him play regularly for the clubs he's played for would ever say he's overrated.

Your kidding? Not in a million years would those two (superb players in their day) be able to live with the athleticism, fitness and skills level of today's players.

We dig out our 1966 World Cup Final DVD every once in a while and whilst it was a great day it borders on comical to watch the game. Very slow hoofball played by guys who were in no way shape or form athletic - at least by today's standards. I'd say that they'd be pushed to be Championship level let alone the Premier League.

<ok>

Football is totally different now, incomparable. Messi would bag more than 2 goals a game back then!
