they should be tbh ... otherwise what will stop any sore loser club from doing so when not happy about a ref decision
Clattenburg should sue Chelsea for loss of earnings and damage to his reputation. They released a statement accusing him of racially abusing two players. They then withdrew one accusation having taken legal advice but the damage had been done. The police have now dropped their investigation because no victim came forward after the club admitted they made the complaint not the players. If the players genuinely felt they had been racially abused they would have come forward and spoken to the police. No matter, reputation ruined so job done as far as Chelsea are concerned. It's not like the club doesn't have form for doing its best to punish referees who have "wronged" them. The best part of Buck's statement today was that they had a duty of care to Terry. So their zero tolerance stance on racism incorporates the need to support one of their players when found guilty of using racist language and issuing allegations of racist abuse by referees that even their own players won't support! Great PR department at Stamford Bridge!
Didn't the police investigate a complaint put forward by The Society Of Black Lawyers?, Aren't the FA dealing with Chelsea's complaint?
Yes. The Society of Black Lawyers made the complaint off the back of Chelsea's original statement. There is no video or audio footage of the supposed racist abuse.
Hello Lee263 - look I don't know you and you don't know me so why call me asshole scum? You are one of the detestable moronic oinks that is indicative of all that is bad with the game. It is indeed ironic that your semi-literate post sounds particularly like the message that you are trying to get across albeit wrongly targeted. Why you feel the necessity to type this tirade is beyond me. Maybe it would be better to keep your thoughts to yourself or at the very least keep them off of the Chelsea board. Many thanks in advance if you do; although this is probably a politeness that you do not deserve.
But seeing as the FA haven't released a statement that they've also dropped their case Clattenberg is still under investigation, if it was a straight forward case of his fellow officials on the day saying he never said what hes accused of he would already be off the hook, if it turns out hes in the clear(which they must already know)why are they letting him stew by dragging their feet? Btw The Society Of Black Lawyers are now blaming Chelsea for the police dropping the case. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...er-police-drop-Mark-Clattenburg-investigation
What on Earth makes you think he wasn't paid? Anyway he has enough money from his payoff to live a life of luxury now.
The only thing referees could do in order to appear more anti-Chelsea is wear just their United shirts during the game, without their referee's shirt on top.
Show me the statement Chelsea released where they accused Mark Clattenburg of racially abusing two players. Then show me when Chelsea chose to withdraw any accusation that had been made. Stupid twat, there is so much rubbish in your post I can only pity your existence if you actually believe the crap you're spouting. Clattenburg is free to sue if he so wishes, as long as it's to the entity that has done him any damage here - the media.
It's extremely difficult to find anything in this thread from non Chelsea fans, that in any way resembles a balanced look into the situation. We Chelsea fans have not a clue of the merits of the claim, don't know the whys' or wherefores, have no information that has been given to us exclusively, and for the most part are happy for the official response to come out. Others seem to know everything, have made their judgements based on Christ only knows what facts, and are only too eager to get stuck in to the Club for simply doing what is required of it by the FA. Whatever the outcome, the only surety is that the FA will balls it up, and not take a golden opportunity to end player abuse towards referees. No matter what the outcome, Chelsea cannot and will not be punished, simply because they have done nothing wrong. First thing that needs doing is to record all the mikes from the officials in future for use against the players as well as the officials. Hope CFC does this by simply getting a recorder tuned to the frequency for all our future games.
Here you go http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20119340 and here you go http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...e-language-toward-john-obi-mikel-8269699.html You're the twat for blindly denying what has been widely reported which has included official statements from Chelsea spokespeople. Chelsea: always the victim
CP, it's hard to take any Chelsea fans' view seriously after they spent 12 months denying Terry had done anything wrong, at the same time condemning anyone and anything connected to Anton Ferdinand for pursuing a case against the Chelsea captain even after he had been given a ban. All of a sudden Clattenburg is guilty based on no evidence and everyone should keep quiet until such time as the case is closed. I suspect that if Clattenburg is cleared, although his reputation will be ruined forever, he will still be vilified by the same Chelsea fans who refuse to accept that Terry was in the wrong. The hypocrisy that has come out of Stamford Bridge and from the fans is laughable.
1. Fans are hypocrites, fact. 2. Could your statement being any more of a sweeping generalisation towards Chelsea fans??
AAAArrrrggggg my ears are bleeding from all this crap over and over again re JT, FFS he is one man not the whole bloody Chelsea team. Nothing to do with the Clattenburg thing, get over it all you Chelsea haters, stop referring every incident back to him. If someone thinks they have been racially abused in whatever way they have a right to question that fact, or do we go back to 'old' times where black people (or any others) are too scared to do this and have to 'shut up and put up' with it as in the past in case they got it wrong. If he was wrong then so be it, if he was right then it needs sorting, which I believe is happening at the moment with the FA looking into it. None of us know what was or wasn't said. Personally with how things stand at the moment I don't think any player would have made this accusation up just because of how a game was going. If anyone now wants to insult me for being a Chelsea fan then go ahead, you will be wasting your time as it doesn't bother me one iota
Given the media spot light the club have been under this last year re racism, do people really think the club would pursue this if it was without merit? I'm sure rival fans and the media would have had plenty to say if the club had done nothing and then it came out players had complained. It would have been seen as Chelsea brushing racism under the carpet. And for people saying it's only because we lost, we lose plenty of games and such issues don't come up.
Do you get off on being obnoxious to everybody or is it just a genuine lack of education? You have no right to shout your big gob off on here fella and suggest you go back to whatever stone you crawled out from under. Your last link is only partly right as Chelsea dropped the accusation regarding Mata only. Chelsea made a formal complaint regarding the referee's alleged comment to Mikel to the F.A. and that as far as I know that is still the case. So please come back when you have less time.
You may well be right about fan bias, but I don't think the Club should be branded the same as the fans. From where I sit, the Club has acted properly in that they hammered Terry when the verdict came down, and handled the current situation properly as well. The Club does themselves no favours with the Press or public, by keeping silent on the punishment it hands out to players. I also think Terry should have been stripped of the Captaincy. Right thing to do, but he would still effectively lead on the pitch. Bad PR.
