What the hell is going on with Canary Call?
Drop Grant Holt and play Morison up front on his own!! All this because Morison scored 9 goals almost a whole season ago, and Holts contribution isn’t and hasn’t been good enough!

Paul McVeigh seems to think that Morison has LOADS of ENERGY, is QUICK and has GOOD ball control! I’m not a big Morison fan, but I recognise that he does have something to offer the team, but only when he can run onto a through ball and shoot without having to control the ball first! But none of the above apply to Steve Morison.
The callers are bad enough, but when a ex player starts spouting ****e then it’s time to stop broadcasting.

I think Saturday was the most annoyed I’ve been listening to the crass stupidity of most of the callers, I’ve plugged the number into my phone and may start ringing to put a bit of a positive spin on my club, after all are we not supporters of a Premiership football team that has had a truly remarkable success story in the last 4 years. Chris Hughton is re-building the squad in his own style, he’s had 10/11 games to do that, it’s nowhere near long enough, but he has improved it, especially in defence, now the midfield is beginning to show, it’s just goals that we need and I know he’s working on that. He is our manager now!

Norwich City fans everywhere, no more moaning please, just do your jobs, SUPPORT YOUR TEAM!!!!!!

Did not listen to Canary Call this week,so cannot really comment,
but I have noticed in previous weeks that McVeigh is starting
to become more controversial,probably to counteract the
slimy Rob Butler,who spouts utter tosh every week.

Most callers never go to games,so have to form an opinion
from either internet or radio coverage,and are swayed by
this.

I saw game on internet,and it was poor-attacking wise,but we still created
2-3 good chances,which could have given us 3 points.Defensive we looked Ok
but Garrido is starting to worry me.Lapses in concentration,nearly cost us.

Overall though,1 point is better than 0,and I think we are on the right track.
 
i've never listened to it, and glad too. from the sounds of it, it's a vehicle for people to moan and not representative of the majority of fans. I wonder how many of the callers had been to the game or where simply siting in their cars at home calling in.

p.s i thought garrido was ok on saturday, then it's the first i'd seen him this season. mccreary was giving him a hard time, but not as much as macanuff in the second half was giving whittakker down the LHS, pretty much all their attacking went down there
 
Where the hell they get these neanderthal, thick-arsed bumpkins from is beyond me, (probably from just across the Norfolk/Suffolk border;)!), Basically, you could write on the back of a bloody postage stamp what these idiots know about football <doh>
 
My problem with Canary Call is the lack of constructive debate.
It has certainly gone down hill since Butler and McVeigh took over.

Neil Adams and the other guy (sorry forgot his name) were far more
informative,and you got a better cross section of opinions.

and were more likely to put the morons in their place.
 
Only ever listen to it on the way home from home games, don't bother with away matches. One thing I have noticed is when Chris Goreham, Neil Adams and Matthew Gudgin were presenting it there was no issue getting people to phone in.

Since Rob Butler has taken over they actively have to encourage people to phone in, to the point that after the Stoke game there were so few callers, two in total I believe, that they had to pull Chris Goreham into the studio to give his opinions for five minutes or so to fill air time. This never used to happen when people phoned in to speak to Neil Adams.

The fact is Goreham/Adams/Gudgin gave an objective review of the game, kept their opinions within reasonable boundaries and looked to get the most out of callers. The Butler/McVeigh combination seems to focus more on 'creating debate' as Butler puts it, or in other words, mis-quoting callers/sh!t stirring, to try and get a reaction. The only reaction they've garnered is people turning off and not listening anymore.

The best example of Butler twisting callers words to get a reaction was a woman, let's call her Mary, who phoned up last season after the Leicester FA Cup match. A couple of people had moaned about Lambert's selection and she'd said would all the moaners like to see Lambert sacked after one poor team selection because that's what it sounded like. Five minutes later Butler was reviewing callers and said 'Mary phoned in and said Paul Lambert should be sacked'.
 
I have nothing against McVeigh, but I think that's fairly odd what he has said about Morison - not that I think Morison is bad. I have a lot of respect for McVeigh but what the hell is Butler doing there? He has no football experience, it's like he was picked off the street.

I used to enjoy listening to Neil Adams and even phoned in myself and was 'on air' a couple of times during his tenure - CAN'T stand Rob Butler with his comments. As far as I'm concerned, they might as well take the programme off the air unless they can get someone better to present it!!!

I was disappointed watching the match against Reading, as CH used his subs too late IMO. I can understand him not wanting to lose games, but I would like to see a more attacking formation for the last 30 mins against teams such as Reading and am hopeful that as the season progresses, we will begin to see more attack-minded games.

I can't stand people ringing in and saying something when they were not there for thier opinions Mr Goreham is the best source he saw it for them!

I think Rob Butler is a total talentless moron.

Sometimes I am so tempted to phone up and tell him just how **** he really is.

Message to Radio Norfolk, sack him live on air to see if it is possible for him not to see a positive in any given situation.
