Always lived SW Leicestershire, latterly in Enderby before moving near Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. An absolutely fab place but not very convenient for the KP! Would need to get the Friday flight to get to a game...

Not many people realise how nice it is in Northern Ireland, I used to regularly go to Ballymena in the early 80's and I loved the place. The checkpoints and airport searches were a bit of a pain in the arse, but even during the troubles, it was still a great place to visit.

It's a cracking place or as they say in these parts 'it's dead on, so it is'. Don't tell too many people it's lovely though OLM, part of why it's nice is it's unspoilt & not at all busy, :emoticon-0100-smile

i don't know if you are a mod but going round Northern Ireland with a target on the back of a parka doesn't seem a good idea.

Joking apart, back in the early 80's I was conscious of what I did wear on my visits, I had a couple of jackets with army badges on and I made sure they stayed in the wardrobe.

I remember often going there in an oversized check jacket, which was very David Byrne.

    It was the 80's...

Saigon. Bet you'd never have guessed that! From sunny Melton originally. Three other City lads here, two in Nha Trang.

Only one Sheepshagger and one Florist supporter in town as far as I know!

As I was saying to the sister-in-law in the shower this morning, I don't half miss freezing my arse off in winter on the terraces at Filbo. Yep, it's been that long !! :emoticon-0182-poolp

Liverpool and Man United fans are like rats, in that you are never more than 3m away from one

I know Filey well, my mum & dad live there & I was there in August & I´m going again next year in Aug/Sept. I was very close to going to your first home game but went to watch Scar´boro in Brig instead. I should be able to grace your stadium next season... Midles´boro´s aswell all going well.

We have a member on the LC board called Filey Fox.

Born in Hull, moved to Huddersfield for a year to start a business with some student mates when I was 17, then moved to London in the early 80's(while spending 15-20% of my time in Hong Kong). Moved to Beverley in the early 90's when my first child was due, while continuing to work in London. Moved to a village between Hull and York in 1995 while still spending midweek in London, sold the London home in January and moved the business here in June.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Just in front of Tescos <ok> I stayed in Chapel st. just across from the bus station, will look into the timings & cost of the bus next year. I take it the bus drops you off very near the stadium ? would be better than by car at a guess, cheers.

8 quid return on coach ... Coach drops off in south stand car park ... Let me know nearer the time and il book you a place on coach ... You won't get ANY hassle you can count on that ..

My Burnley supporting friend comes with me from time to time ..

99% of Hull supporters are a friendly bunch I guess thats the same for most clubs
