Im sorry I didnt realise you had won the championship I was under the impresion it finished in May. Also may I point out, THE FANS dont set the admission prices pal. Enjoy your result as you will be defeated like every club does at some point. Now you have gloated you may wish to jog on pal.

if you took the time to read and UNDERSTAND my post it was to point out and inform you that you guys should get a grip and realise that we have a good record against your team and your over inflated egos are not helped when your club charges stupid money for away FANS ATTENDING YOUR GROUND. GLOATING I AM NOT FOOTBALL TODAY NEEDS TO REALISE THAT WE FANS WORK HARD AND STRUGGLE TO PAY TO WATCH OUR TEAMS AND CLUBS THAT ARE MID TABLE CHAMPIONSHIP FODDER AS LEEDS HAVE BEEN IN LAST COUPLE OF SEASONS CANT CHARGE PREMEIRSHIP PRICES. As for last couple of sentences of your post go back and read an earlier one of mine on your board which mentions a recent heavy defeat of ours. Get with it and keep up man!!!!

You should try paying it week in week out you knob you think we are happy paying nearly 700 quid for a season ticket? No why do you think we are protesting you worry about £34 once a year we will worry about it for a season

and then had 3 good chances in succession.

And, err, you were at home.

To a previous poster, our situation is nothing like Doncaste'rs. We have 17 (last count) players on loan, who we are basically trying out to see who we want to take on permanently. Makes no odds to our owners - they are on the payroll anyway, Might as well have them pay the wages in Italy for tax reasons. The Pozzos have stated that we will be the major team in the 'project' because of the potential revenue from the premiership.

Where will we be at the end of the season? Play-offs or just outside. Promotion next year; the Pozzos have the cash, the will and the football pedigree to make it happen.

And then you'll struggle in a relegation battle every season, assuming you actually ever make it to the PL, which I doubt.

Watford- population 80,000 approx. Nearest big clubs: Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea
Leeds- population 800,000 approx. Nearest big clubs: errm... Bradford

Yes, in that sense we are a little club, and you are a big club. But being a 'big club' in the sense of support base does not give you a God given right to win.
A club has to be well run whatever its size. Players have to peform and act as a team, wherever they come from. We here are not yet sure whether our new set up going to be is a totally good thing, we'll find out. But it's starting to come together.

For a while now you don't seem to have been able to pull yourselves together into a well run club. Address that issue, and maybe also find it in yourselves to show a little grace in defeat to a 'little club' even if the circumstances are hard to swallow.

Hope your fellow makes a good recovery.

It'd be easier to gracefully accept defeat to pissy little **** clubs like yours if we didn't have to put up with constant rubbing it in from your fans enjoying your moment, because it's basically a highlight in an otherwise boring history of making up the numbers.

Don't dish it out if you can't take it back.

Not convinced that the sending off was particularly 'soft' fellas, though y'all being brought up watching the likes of Reanie, Giles, Bremner etc it could be - our boy got up and walked, and scored - and I'm pretty sure those three wouldn't let it happen. :emoticon-0105-wink: Okay, the dig is done so seriously:

0-1, playing rubbish (for weeks by your own accounts), down to 10 men, did Diouf throw one of his hissy fits at half time?... you are the manager, what are you gonna do? It's a crap-shoot. Try and win the game with 10.... Then a serious distressing injury, down to 9 and it's damage limitation time... alas Watford do actually have some rather good players in the team that are now starting to gel as a unit. We've been saying for weeks someone was due for a hiding and relatively easy as it ought to be with 11 v 9 (wasn't that easy for Cardiff against our 9 the other week) we still gotta score and you have to admit some of our finishing was sublime!
10minutes added time - with a broken leg, dislocated shoulder, 6 bookings, 3 subs and 6 goals plus whatever other time the referee thought worthy of adding... seems to me he could have found more time if he wanted to.

Circumstance dictated you were there for the taking in the second half but it still needed to be done. So give us a bit of credit, we deserve it!

The "sublime finishing" wouldn't have happened had your players been marked properly with the correct number of men on the pitch. The advantage of playing against fewer men is that your players have more space, more space to take potshots at goal.

Don't think good finishing is an excuse to rub in a win that was handed to you on a plate by unfortunate circumstances. You were lucky, get over it and **** off.

If you can't play a team off the park who have 9 men then theres something wrong.

What is 6-1 then? We had 9 men for 30 mins against Cardiff and managed a close 2-1 defeat.

Your goal was a penalty, completely the fault of our player getting his legs in a mix. We can only play against what is in front of us. We've had lesser men advantages more than anyone this season and put up a much better challenge.

You've seen us once this season and unlike the seemingly ever presumptuous "we're a "bigger club" so we'll win 3-1" followed by waves of moaning and disbelief that Leeds guarantees, we've been upbeat about our performances and progress throughout, so obviously there's something wrong with Leeds, sure, but something going right for little old Watford.

I'm sure you're frustrated at what's going on with your club and you've come over to our board and made things right. The problem us Watford fans have is that every team expects to get a result against us. "Poor little old Watford." "We were a bigger club donkeys years ago we should win this."... it kind of gets boring, especially the post match "We lost to an average/**** Watford."

Anyway, good luck with the takeover... no team deserves that **** and we know because it's been like that for us the last 10 years. Fortunately we got a bit lucky with our Italian buddies.

You should try living in the present..... maybe even the last 10 years? A few of your lot wouldn't gracefully accept defeat either way. No Watford fan came on here to rub it in, we've just seen some bitter fans views, had a cheeky little grin and given those who can't accept defeat what they deserve.

As you said, don't dish it out if you can't take it back.

Don't give me that crap, they'd have shown up either way. Even if they hadn't, in their minds they're ****ting themselves with glee at beating the famous Leeds United, laughing at how far we've fallen.

10 years ago we were in Europe. 10 years ago you were **** knows where and nobody gave a **** about you. Want to shrink the time period down to suit your argument better? Don't bother because it makes **** all difference.

If you actually look through this thread I said we would lose 3-1 11v11 so I never expected to beat you, we have been so poor this season I cant see us beating anybody and at this moment in time staying up is all I expect of the current crop of players

We're gleeful at winning 6-1, the same as when we did it against Millwall. Not because it's Leeds, this league is competitive and full of a lot of good teams... we're not in awe of your "fame" it's just another win. I've been to Elland road and yes the stadium is big, you have more fans but in all the times I've seen our teams match up I've never felt your team was better than ours, sorry to disappoint. Thanks for the points.... keep reassuring yourself of your superiority if that's what helps you sleep at night but we won on the pitch and that's all that matters to us <ok>

It was general statement, I think a lot of us Watford fans get too involved with the minority living in lala land and don't see that the majority are honest and reasonable fans. I don't think you'll be going down should improve in January.

I think you are holding grudges from previous years when we probably did expect to beat "little old Watford"

But the last few season we have realised that Bates is killing our clubs and although we are a huge club we haven't had a decent first team for about 10 years.

It's more of a "we should be better than this" mentality. We're frustrated at how **** we are at the moment. A well run Leeds United should be one of the best teams in the Championship season after season, but bates has killed any chance of that and we're losing 6-1 to little Watford who are low down in the league for a reason.

Watford People, wot a shame you cant just be appreciative that everything possible went in favour of the club on Sat,and be grateful for that. What would Pozzos give even for a (and that was small by their standards) attendance on Sat at Vicarage home games?...dont think VR can even accomodate that amount.

If I were a supporter I would be very tempted to still consider Leeds a big club in view of their history, suspect you would too if you were a Leeds person. They achieved wot WFC probably will never do....and I do appreciate the difference in size of the two places. In the 'now' generation many dont wanna know about history tho.
Show a bit of class then you Hornets, especially if you happen to be one of 'em who bleat when other clubs mock you.
Sorry Leeds people ,suppose this should really be put on Watfords pages, but the people I refer to are prob more likely to be viewing here at the moment !

Well it all depends on how well organised you are. Down to 10 was of your boys making, a shocking tackle. Down to 9 was, well, your bad luck - worthless if we did not take advantage... which we did so with ruthless efficiency... and, by the way, made Cardiff scrap until the 92nd minute before they finally beat our 9 men with over half an hour played to their advantage.

You were unfortunate but we were not lucky. I'm just asking you to give us the credit we deserve but I'm not holding my breath, not for you anyway, and we've already got over it and, er, 'moved on' to the next game... Wolves - I think they're a bit like Leeds in so many ways... big ground, illustrious past, the fans...

Wasn't going to reply to this thread but I suspect some these watford fans did not actually see the game, and just saw the scoreline or they are trolling. It isn’t about not wanting to give credit to Watford, Leeds have been hammered a few times in the Championship over the past couple of years (and im sure we will again while the current administration continues). It’s about analysing the circumstances involved and coming to a honest conclusion about a game. If you actually watched the match or listened to the commentary of it, you would know that you cannot really sit back and look at that game and say what an amazing performance from watford, if you knew the circumstances Leeds were under and the events of the game. Before Austin went off, it was even and on course to be a close contest for the full 90 minutes. If it was 11 vs. 11 or even 10 vs. 11 and you beat Leeds or any team, 6-1, I would praise Watford and give full credit for it, however 9 vs. 11 at the beginning of half time with a key player gone to a horrific injury, is already a forgone conclusion, which was acknowledged by all who were following the game. It took till the 95th minute for Watford to score the fifth or sixth goals and Leeds weren't just sitting back 9 men behind the ball trying to keep the score down, we were still attacking even with two men off the field, in doing so nearly all of Watford's goals were from counter attacks. No doubt Watford have got some really talented players under Zola and Im sure you'll do well this season, but until they prove it when the circumstances aren't so balanced ridiculously in their favour, it is impossible to say whether they are really that good

we don't set the ticket prices or want to pay that much you idiot<doh>, I suggest you let your feelings known to Ken Bates as we've already done
