Did you even know that Manure have over 30 sponsors? So it's a bit rich that you're complaining about Chelsea getting more sponsorship deals. <doh>

I didn't say that, your club is forever trying to compare itself with Manchester United.

Chelsea keeping it's soul? Are you kidding? The only part of the modern Chelsea that resembles the Chelsea of old is the racist element amongst the fans.

when Jose leaves Chelsea will be finished, when Roman leaves we'll be finished, when FFP comes in we'll be finished. We're still here with fifth biggest revenue in europe BEFORE we've redeveloped our stadium.

You've got a tremendous chip on your shoulder about Chelsea being seen as a "big" club.

If you redevelop your stadium the club will have to go into debt, unless Roman funds it which goes back to the fact that Chelsea simply can't sustain profitability without his support. I don't know why you're so keen to try and make out that Chelsea are a self-sustaining operation?

Modern day football fans are an absolute farce, why does anyone (especially a United fan who has seen his team win plenty of trophies) give a **** if their club makes considerable profit? Utter drivel, sad to see. Stick to FOOTBALL not business.

I agree. Not sure why the thread was started or why anyone felt the need for a collective round of backslapping.

Others may not share my opinion so it would be wrong to close it. If you are in agreement with me then I'm nt sure why you felt the need to comment in a provocative way.

Personally I think it is great to take an interest in the business side of things as well as the on field antics. Each to their own though.

We've never said that. Quite clearly the chip is on your shoulder.

It's been clear from day one the aim was to make Chelsea a self sustainable club whilst improve performance on the pitch, we aren't there yet but were getting there. If we want to feel good about ourselves after a bit of good news let us. What is it to anyone else?

First and foremost like yourself I care about performance on the pitch.

All clubs have racists you moron. Go to games you'll see far more black/asian/mixed raced at Chelsea games than United.

We'd never compare ourselves to your shallow, plastic, corrupt franchise <ok>

I remember United boasting profit after they'd pocketed 80 million for Ronaldo. They can't do that every year.

All clubs present things in a favourable way to fans, potential sponsers, investers etc. Lets enjoy it. It's probably a one off but we are heading in the right direction. The influx of United fans on this thread probably suggests someone is a tad worried.

You are so ignorant regarding FFP that it is embarrassing really.
Firstly this spending spree is spread over the length of the contract which is 5 years. That means in the next set of accounts it works out about 16m. We got nearly all that back in sales and loan fees. On top of that we have new deals with Gazprom,Delta,Audi,Singha and a new deal to be announced shortly that will be even bigger. I won't even mention the 5-7m we will be getting for the Club World Cup and the fact that the new tv deals dwarf the amount we're spending.

Like I say, your ignorance of FFP is only beaten by the fact you're on here 24/7 because you have no real life. Move along loser.

At least we are not being used as a cash cow by a bunch of clap ridden yanks who couldn't run a piss up in a brewery. <ok>
