Just watched this on LFC tv... Write him off at your peril and if you genuinely think he is done then please never forget what he has done for us. If there was ever a definition of a legend... So grateful this guy was our captain, our player. Incredible.
I've more than a few 'season round-up' DVD's which are essentially The Best of Steven Gerrard. He's been an absolute legend for us, and hopefully he's with us for a good few years yet! One of my favourite ever players. He's been involved in some the best cup games ever seen in modern times, and inspired some iconic commentary: "What a hit, son! What a hit!" "He strides around the field like a colossus..." Two which instantly come to mind, anyway.
Magnificent player. You've been very lucky to watch him grow up and develop from a raw kid with bags of heart and energy to a truly world class footballer. At the tip of the midfield delta, with Mascherano & Alonso, he was unplayable.
