Good news again for him, but will he play? As it's a friendly and with Lescott absent from the squad Woy may pair the four CBs and play two in each half. I hope so.
I think he will because it's a friendly and really, the result is not too important. Would like to see Ryan pull on an England shirt, his performaces this season have been excellent. He deserves that, even if it's only 45mins.
Like said before by numerous posters, if he doesn't play in a friendly soon it his llikely that he ill never grace th green grass of wembley with the the three lions on his chest!
Would love to see him play, for him and so we can add a bit to his price tag. Don't want him to go anywhere.
Jowler, I would love to see him feature on Wednesday if only for 45mins. I don't want him to leave Stoke either but I read somewhere today (Daily Star!!!) that TP has`said he would not stand in Ryan's way should a top 3 team come calling. Surely a comment like that will invite the likes of United to put in a bid either Jan or next summer.
PP It would seem that way, I can see at least one of the big 4 wanting him. They all seem to have some form of defensive issues be it age, injury or just not performing. Hope we keep him he would be very difficult to replace.
He is a very good player and would be a massive loss if he went, but IMO he is not good enough for champions league etc, if he went to a top four team he would be sitting on the bench and used when injuries occured.
Ricc, He's our very good player and would be good enough for domestic league and cup matches if nothing else.
The thing is Jowler that the top four teams do have players that are better than Ryan in his position so personally I dont think that he would get many games (apart from carling cup or whatever it is called now, and maybe one here and there), for me it would make no sense for him to move to one of the top four teams as he would not feature very regular. Teams like Spurs etc he has a much better challenge for a place. Its pointless him going to a very good club and just sit on the bench as many have done before him. Top and bottom of it is I reallly hope he stays but if he does go then I would like to think he will be playing most weeks, and not just left to rot on the bench. UTPsssssssssssssssss
The irony for me is I actually don think he's playing as we'll as he has done in previous seasons, yet allegedly top clubs are interested more than ever.
I agree, a few seasons ago I thought he would be going to a top 4 club, however he hasnt improved much since then, if anything he isnt playing as well as he was a season or so ago.
