It seems Levein is contemplating legal action over his sacking.

Craig Levein is considering legal action following his dismissal as Scotland manager.
The 48-year-old was relieved of his duties on Monday, with Scotland at the bottom of World Cup qualifying Group A.
"I am extremely disappointed by the process of the last week," Levein said in a statement.
"I note the position as stated by the Scottish Football Association but do not concur and I am currently taking legal advice as to my options."
The SFA said it had taken into account Levein's "stated intention - expressed to the president and chief executive - to leave the job at the end of the World Cup campaign".
And the governing body said they would honour the former manager's contract, with payments over the next 20 months.
"I would like to thank everyone who has supported the team and I during my time as Scotland manager," added Levein, who won just three of the 12 competitive games he oversaw.
"It has been a privilege to have done the job and I would like to thank my back room staff who have worked tirelessly during my time as manager.
"Most of all I would like to thank the players for their unswerving loyalty, effort and professionalism."

I'm not sure what he hopes to achieve as the SFA have already agreed to pay his contract in full. The useless ****er should count himself lucky.
 
i think it will be about the time taken to make the decision - what the **** does he want though? compensation?? <yikes>
 
I wish I was so **** at my job I got sacked and get paid for 20 months. The ****.
 
It's a smart move .. stick him on garden leave, pay him as normal and if he wants to take a new job, then he has to quit - bang goes the rest of the cash!

Celtic did it to Mogadon Mowbrary ... he had to quit and lost £360k - good, ye failed!

Levien can get all the legal advice he wants - what the SFA plan to do is well within thier rights and I doubt it contravens any employment laws.
 
on a completely different note - i have this mate (mate is too strong - i was pally with him years ago) who was a bit of a **** up in his younger years - a total yohan who made stuff up about himself all the time - you know the kind - a nice enough lad but just as insecure as ****...

anyway, this guy has managed to talk himself into a top public sector job (and i mean top!) by lying on his cv a few times, getting jobs, being so incompetent that he gets stuck on gardening leave because the company is too embarrassed to not have done some actual checking up, and then applying for an even higher job!!

this winds me the **** up and i seriously consider shopping him at times - but then i dont want to **** the guys life up....

what should i do?

ach i know but then i would be constantly watching my back if i ran into some **** who knew....

i mean this guy is banned from a large western country because of his **** - its no joke man

if im honest im thinking about blackmail?

well i could just go to his boss i guess and say "here - see this **** that is taking taxcpayers money by spouting buzz words all day long - he doesnae have any of the experience he says he does on his cv and try sending him on a business trip to canada for a laugh!!!"

or i could call him at work and just say "i know what you did last summer"

or i could leave him alone - but that sticks in my throat as i am generally a nasty person....

Sound's like my pal's wee brother. (pal in the sense simon described earlier)

He's done time (or got fined) for turning up at a fire with a fireman's uniform on and pretending he was a fireman. He was in the blaze tackling the thing and the other fireman just though he was really **** at his job. <laugh>

What a ****ing loon! I thought the walloper who kept impersonating sport stars was nuts (man Utd line up pic, f1 podium etc) but that's ****ing mental! How did he know where the fire was? Just parked up outside a station kitted up in his motor? Lol!
