Racist players should be sacked!

I said the same thing about 3 weeks ago, anyone not just players convicted of being racist should be sacked.
 
Any truly racist players who uphold racist beliefs and who voice them, undoubtedly should be sacked. The likes of Suarez and Terry... No.
 
Terry should have been stripped of the Chelsea captaincy, but sacked? Not for me. He's a prick, but he said something in the heat of the moment. It happens sometimes.
 
What's the point in sacking a player. Wouldn't another club just sign them so the only ones who lose out are the club.

I wouldn't stop at racism. For example, I remember the goading that Grahame Le Saux used to get from the odd player, especially from Liverpool's Robbie Fowler. Le Saux is a happily married man with a family. This sort of thing shouldn't be tolerated. Instead people still smirk or giggle at the subject and it's pathetic. The late Justin Fashanu got it both ways. Christ, it must have been bloody awful for him at times.

Yes I can still remember some of the chants TSS! Vile! and you are right the majority of people just sniggered.

Yep sack them as well. We wouldn't be allowed to get away with it at the places we work. Why should footballees etc be allowed to get away with it?.
 
Unpleasant racial jibes should not be tolerated, but I don't want witchhunts with no clear evidence. Every employer should protect their staff against bullying (racism being one form of it), but suspect a very valuable player will be put up for sale rather than sacked. For instance, I'm sure we would want to recoup some of Ramirez's cost if he turned out to be racist. Also be a shame if mild jokes are taken seriously...intent behind it should always be considered. A friend is Scottish and I'm always teasing her and I suspect in Scotland I would get the same. Not on the same scale as remarks about colour, but there are shades in between.

Any offence term related to skin colour, religion, nationality, sexual orientation etc should be punished. It seems they are concentrating too much on racism against blacks and tolerating everything else too much
 
To be honest sacking a football player and banning him for a season would not work if convicted of racial abuse. Please note I said "convicted" as in a court of law. However if a player is convicted and fined and given a nine month or season ban. Then perhaps the club should also be punished and warned as to their behaviour in the future.
That in my view would eventually get the clubs to ensure that their players did not make Racial remarks to other players to wind them up. Fining the club or even taking points away or both, should ensure they tell their players to keep their mouth firmly shut. That with having to pay a players wages while he served his ban would probably be incentive enough.
 
There is no way sacking a player would work. Longer bans larger fines points deductions yes. But actually sacking the player is down to the club an isn't really a punishment to the player as they would move on to another club and prob earn more money as no transfer fee involved.
 
At the end of the day it has to be the clubs decision if they choose to sack a player or not No one else's.
 
impossible, lets say for example Ramirez is found guilty of saying something and the club has to sack him- will this mean that the club is out of pocket by 12 million? he would then be a free agent and be able to arrange a nice signing on fee with another club
