    Think I remember him...was he not a 2m specialist and trained by Josh Gifford?

    Remeber him very well WLYT, he ran in several reces against the great Desert Orchid including, I think, the Tingle Creek where he refused to race and was roundly booed when returning to the paddocks. Seem to remember him looming 3 out in a couple of Dessie's King Georges as well before the grey horse put the turbo on up the Kempton home straight <ok>

    Vodkatini ? What memories that horse provides.
    I remember the mid/late 80s was a time I was getting into racing with Dessie being the big pull but I loved characters like Vodkatini.
    Oddy I think you're spot on, Dessie gave him I think 31lb in the Tingle Creek and the horse just stood there looking around, he waited for the main group to jump 2 fences then decided he was going to run - a fantastic example of a horse being in charge.....
