Why doesn't City take a leaf out of Chavski's book and just threaten and destroy the careers of refs until you get them.
Dont know about being robbed but I thought it was a cracking game to watch. I doooo so hope City make the Europa again
sorry wasn't it a foul against Ajax in last minute that was awarded the other way in the last seconds.. or you failed to see that and both Balotelli and Ajax were holding each other shirts .. or you failed to see that too
Shouldnt have to rely on refs decisions. We defended like a pub team so cant really have any excuses and it only evens up the shocking penalty we got to undeservedly draw against Dortmund.Retaining the premier league should be the only focus from now
Have to say after that performance i was extremely suspicious.... I havent questioned referees' integrity before now but I really feel for City fans after that - it was too weird: Aguero's offside goal - didnt it take the linesman about 5 minutes to flag? Didnt he flag AFTER Aguero scored, or am I confusing this with another incident last night? Half time whistle - just before a City corner. Full time whistle - ball in Ajax penalty area - Ive never, ever seen a referee blow for time once, let alone twice, with the ball in such offensive positions. It just doesn't happen. They always wait for the ball to be cleared by the defending team. However, it shouldnt even have been full time, as there were 2 subsitutions and a stop in play for a 'hurt' player in stoppage time anyway! That should have added to the 3 minutes. And finally 2 City penalties not given. 2 pretty clear penalties. Whether they should have had a free kick in the build up is as irrelevant as liverpool arguing about whether a throw in was given the right way before everton scored on the weekend. Such a decision should have little or no bearing on what follows, those mistakes are made all the time and should not, in themselves, lead to goals. Whether the officials were conciously biased (which i highly doubt) or subconciously rooting for their fellow countrymen, or bottling giving big decisions, or for any other reason, City have ever right to feel VERY hard done by....
Point taken on your penalty in dortmund, but there is a difference between 'relying on ref's decisions' and expecting legitimate goals to not be disallowed. I feel bad for you - everybody is queuing up to say 'not good enough, didnt do enough' - well you kind of did. you needed 3 goals. you scored 3 goals. Not much can be done about 1 not being given...
True enough but in a game they had to win, they defended badly and went down 2-0 to a good but not great team at home. City have been behind so many times this season and eventually this was going to happen. They can't keep pulling results out their arse ala West Brom, Southampton etc. Question to City fans, would you rather finish 3rd or 4th in this group (and thus 'avoid' Europa)???
I honestly think the opposite - that city's poor defending is a smokescreen for some suspect at best officiating. Lets put a counter argument on the table. Lets imagine Arsenal in 2002-2004 (this isnt meant as a wind up to arsenal fans btw, just making a point) had faced, for example, an Italian team, with a French referee, and a load of extremely suspect decisions had gone their way. It would look very, very suspect. Anyway, not to deviate too much, I do take your point. The defending for those two goals was criminal, and questions must be asked of City's defending. But each and every month (maybe even week) I see more and more evidence of officiating that is obscure/weird at best, and evidence of something extremely sinister at football's roots at worst.
first the foul leading to that action should had gone ajax way and then Balotelli was holding ajax shirt trying to keep him away in same time as the other was holding his shirt .. was 50-50 .. you need to look to the front view not the back one to see it clearly please log in to view this image
Fairly clear difference in how city & Utd are officiated was shown tonight with Rooneys penalty. You know it and so does everyone else Cheats prosper when they play for Utd
That was the first thing I said when I saw it! But..I then understood why the ref gave it .(Unsighted or thought it was in the box etc) Shame other fans aren't so understanding
yaya one seen alot during games not given .. if refs start giving that.. we will see 10-20 penalty a game ..even Yaya after the game was more focused on the last min appeal more than his own ..what that tells you?
I am more concerned about Ajax getting robbed by whoever these imposters posing as the Champions of England are.
