Can someone create a poll with various names for replacements for Adkins so we can get a view of who people here would like. I would but I don't know how and I'm on my phone.

I think Cortese realises with the run of fixtures coming up that we need to have someone at the helm. Most would consider them games we really should be looking to win.
Whether he thinks Nigel can get those points is another thing. We don't need weeks of being in limbo again.
Seems it may be a bit **** or bust for the manager now though.
We need at least 4 points out of the Swansea and QPR games. Nigel may just cling on to his job if we draw against Swansea but then we would have to beat QPR for him to keep his job. I think an ultimatum of 4 points from these 2 games is fair.
Yeah that seems pretty reasonable. But running with the idea of having someone ready to come straight in, who would that be?
And one would reasonably expect that we would get the three points from Swansea and a point from QPR.
I would think that Cortese will be drawing up a shortlist of possible replacements, and I would expect most of that list to be foreigners because lets face it, the only English manager available to get us out of this mess is Redknapp.

I think QPR will be the tougher of the 2 games though; they're in the same boat as us probably sensing a win there
I do say so, you continually draw conclusions there is no evidence for. If you end up being right it's no more than a lucky guess.

Adkins is evidently on his last legs. His change of tone in interviews and the results suggest that.
From that, amongst other things, I draw a conclusion that he is on his last legs.

I can't imagine Adkins would be sacked without a pre-arranged replacement, our next games are too important to let Wilkins butcher them
I think part of the problem is that Adkins has control of training and team selection, but suspect he has little to do with signings. When asked a couple of days ago about had he got the players he wanted during the summer and was that the problem, he just gave some spiel about what a great recruitment team we had. Didn't answer the question at all. He was firm about all the players he wanted at the end of last season, but it didn't happen. Think the guy taking the blame isn't the one or ones responsible. Not fair, but sadly what happens in football.
