Just read this on the BBC Sports Breaking News website - "Mark Hughes believes QPR will be a different side when they win their first Premier League game of the season. Rangers, who have lost six of their opening 10 games, drew for the fourth time this season against Reading, who are also without a win. "The key is the first win and once we get that we can settle down and play our football," said Rangers boss Hughes."

Their next 4 fixtures - Stoke away, Saints at home, ManUre away and Sunderland away. Apart from Saints at home, I don't see many winnable games

really? stoke, as shown at the weekend, are more than beatable, though they are a much tougher nut to crack at the britannia admittedly. saints is winnable and so is sunderland away. if villa can win there, anyone can! i still think qpr will stay up. i said after the opening day's results that the two teams beaten 5-0 (us and the r's) would both stay up. i still stand by that, but i think qpr will stay up under a different manager.

Oh I see, so it's all fun and games when the incest jokes are flying about but the minute I wheel out a chas and dave reference then it's "abuse"?

Did the smoke that covers London make all the babies brain damaged? Or just the ones in West London?

Not sure I mentioned incest at all Beefy just Turnips or are you up to unspeakable things with root vegetables these days? Nothing would surprise me where you're concerned

Fair do's Dave. Grudgingly I have to say that Hughton is a good manager making the best of your limited resources very well. Solid & steady ain't no bad thing. Still you're missing out of all of the bottom 3 excitement yet again.

I can't believe how poorly Hughes is performing for you, you've got the players to be performing better than you are, trouble is, losing very quickly becomes habit-forming! You really needed to beat Reading!

I can't believe how poorly Hughes is performing for you,

I can. He did a half decent job at Wales (won 29%), where lets face it he was in a win/win situation. If he did anything it would be a success, if he didn't well what did you expect? It's Wales.

Since he's been in club management he's been in charge at Blackburn (won 43%), Man City (won 46%), Fulham (won 32%) and now QPR (won 25%) and every single club under-achieved while he was there. So the question really has to be is it the clubs who are under achieving or is Hughes actually just a crap manager who everyone thinks is good because he did OK with Wales?

To be fair Wubba, he never mentioned Chas 'n Dave in the thread, I think he was just generalising!

<ok>

Chas n Dave were diehard Spuds fans weren't they - do QPR have any "famous" fans ? We after all have Delia (who is a fan at heart), Stephen Fry, Jake Humprhries, Ed Balls (<doh>), Myleene Klaas ......

I think I heard somewhere that Bill Bailey supports them

I wouldn't say he under acheived at Blackburn or Fulham. In fact a 43% win rate for a team like Blackburn is exceptional. I believe they were struggling when he took over as well.

I also thought he was harshly treated at Citeh!

Not so much there, he really did spend a heck of alot of money on average to rubbish players, Lescott £23,000,000 I think, Cruz 17 mil?, Adebayor, Milner and Barry were stupidly priced (they may be Mancinis)and they are just the more well known ones. There were a few foreigners as well I think he signed that barely played.

Perhaps it shows he can't spot a top end player player.

Quite worryingly he's the 13th highest paid manager in the World.............madness
