A lot of us spent a lot of the summer screaming out for Crissy Hootun to bring in another quality DMC so we could play a formation built around 2 DMCs to give our defence the protection it never had under Lambert.

And he did, and his name is Alexander Banor Tettey.

What a signing, he's absolutely brilliant and so much more than just a superb DMC. He brings the very best out of Johnson, gives Wes the freedom to dictate the play, has an eye for goal himself and gets forward to help the lads out when we're on the attack - what an engine that guy has!

I officially love him :emoticon-0152-heart :emoticon-0152-heart :emoticon-0152-heart

Hoolahan has been getting all the plaudits, and not undeservedly as he has been at his brilliant best, but I have no doubt that the assured solidity of our game, which gives Hoolahan a great platform, is all down to Tettey. Fantastic player.

Steady on Munky, are you saying that you might possibly be swinging both ways <laugh>

On a serious note, I've already posted on here that I think that if and when Tettey moves on it will be for a record transfer fee received. Mr Hughton has certainly unearthed a gem here <ok>

Best thing is both Bassong and Tettey are NCFC players, rather than season long loans.
Both will grow in stature with more games under their belts <ok>

I hope also that Garrido continues as he is, he was in my top three players today so I hope the 'view to a permenant move' happens if he continues the way he had been. <ok>

I feel very lucky to have players like Ruddy, Garrido, Bassong, Tettey and Holt at the club.

If he carries on like this I wouldn't be surprised to see a club like United try and sort their CM woes with Tettey..he's certainly capable from what I've seen.

Would cost them a fair whack though!

I don't think his introduction and our recent results is coincidental

He has been a key part in our chnage of fortunes. I can't remember how many times 'Supers' (and others) said that the type of player we desperately needed to sign in the summer was a 'defensive midfielder'!!!! Then low and behold EC and CH find a gem - let's hope we do offer him a contract, as I was reading somewhere the other day that he's very happy playing for Norwich and has settled in well.

He's ours anyway, it's Garrido and Kane that are the loanees!

From wiki - although we all know they are sometimes a tad wide of the mark.

On 24 August 2012, Tettey joined Premier League team Norwich City on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

As mentioned above, great that He and Bassong are City players.
Let's hope we can add Garrido to our ranks soon.

Yeah, I remember thinking it was odd he was only on a two year deal, but i put it down to him being a risk having not played in the Prem and had some injuries. Lets hope McNasty offers him a longer one sharpish....
