Arsenal were undoubtedly poor today - it doesn't take a genius to work that one out. Moreover, all I'd like to know is how does Wenger shows his face to the fans after making mistake after mistake? With all due respect, I personally believe this guys lost it. Sometimes I ask myself is Wenger really a football manager/coach. The decisions the guy makes are fairly ludicrous to be honest. Is he actually a manager/coach or some sort of guy that manages the financial side of things at Arsenal? If my memory serves me right, I remember Arsene mentioning that he wonât be at the club IF they finish 15th in the PL. Well, what more is there to say? This looks like the season where Arsenal will sadly be going downhill. No Arsenal fan really wants it to come to this. Arsenalâs most successful manager turning out to be a target of much hate from certain sections. And even those who want to see Wenger leave Arsenal club will surely feel some degree of regret when it finally does come to pass. Wenger has had his best times at Arsenal in the 90's, unfortunately his era is evidently coming to an end. Take care Arsene! The problem is, that word âpatienceâ has become so frustrating for a number of supporters that itâs so much easier to call for an instant change and something where success comes much more quicker.
hhh .. comn the guy is a pure genius . he bring alike of Giroud and have no wingers to cross the ball for him and get the best out of him he sees Sir Alex take out cleverly .. but keep wilshere he put Walcott on the bench and play Ramsey Start with an idiot like Santos when he could had put Verm there and play kos and can go on and on but you know who are more deluded than him ?.... they are the Arsenal fans .. who talk some bull$hits like Arsenal mid is best in PL (yeah in my a$$) and UTD one is crap.. (really?) to talk about UTD getting refs help in the same day they win thanks for an offside goal facing poor QPR .. with Verm cheating to get the player red card when player didn't touched him, although he deserve to go but Verm cheating & crying in pain was class... then still go on about refs helping UTD in same day after another shocking refereeing against Reading .. and yet they say that UTD fans are bias so we don't see it.. yeahh like they are not bias or see decisions going thier way they bloody ban me for no reason !!so am really frustrated by their lack of class
you are right Mr Whiner .. whined again about penalties in OT .. if he use his brain more in football than in trying to find excuses, Arsenal would have been in a higher position
Himzo's baaaaaccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not just his decisions, his whole attitude and opinions seem to be going. He was on SS claiming we had "illusionary domination". Yeah, our keeper not having to make a save till the 92nd minute was an illusion...
Wenger is stubborn. Whereas before this trait worked in his favour, now that Arsenal have gone for so long without winning trophies this trait is presented negatively as he is now seen as a roadblock to progress and the reason for why Arsenal have regressed. I think there is truth in this and Wenger has been too much of a footballing romantic at times in placing a lot of faith in younger players that haven't always delivered. But there are other factors too. Their place as one of the purchasing heavyweights has diminished since they built their new stadium and because there isn't that level of investment, they are not in a position to suitably replace the good players they've let go. That's not to absolve Wenger of blame though, but to say that I think there are reasons behind the scenes that have held them back too and led to their regression.
well according to the board, the money was there sitting and he is the one who didn't used it he had great luck inheriting very good side with solid GK and CBs . knew Henry and Vieira, so had an advantage over rest of managers and that helped creating the invincibles .. but now he turn them into the laughables
I'm not surprised that Arsenal fans are so delusional with a manager like Wenger in charge. He claims that wilshere's sending off was harsh: He was lucky to have not been sent off before he actually was - there was the foul that would have been a yellow card offence had he not already got one, then there was his attempt to get Cleverley sent off (the sooner that kind of thing is punished with a yellow card the better).
To give him his due it was Wenger himself who remarked that pound notes never scored a goal. He was replying to a remark why arsenal was keeping money in the bank. However he seemed to have fallen into the trap of not seeing the wood for the trees. A trap which SAF over the years has never fallen into. Wenger has a fixed idea of how much a player is worth in monetary terms. If one of the players he wants is valued much more than his own valuation he won't buy the player. If another club offers much more for one of his players than he thinks he is worth he will listen to offers and let them go. The balancing of books is not primarily his job. Paying over the odds for an elite striker for example should not be a problem he should agonise over. They have accountants and financial people to deal with that. When SAF brought RVP many people ( including me) wondered whether the club was squandering millions on a player there was no prospect of recouping any money back at his age. But he was right. What is the point of being rich, money in the bank if you do not rectify a problem with the team or squad? Wenger's philosophy of blooding youth is in theory a good one. But for which club is he blooding his youngsters for? The way it has been going, Wenger has a club which will always make a profit for their shareholders but which will never challenge for the very top honours. Did he himself give us a clue by saying finishing top 4 is by itself a trophy?
I was for a little while - this place seems to be like a graveyard. <erm> How's it going though, Swarbs?
