    It´s easy to poke
    Some fun at Stoke
And the aerial route that they use,
    But every year
    They continue to appear
In this flight so give them their dues

    With physique to the fore
    It´s not on the floor
Where much of their best work is done,
    But once in the air
    Well then I would dare
To say that they´re second to none

    The remedy then
    Seems clear, but those men
Give every last litre of blood,
    And if they´re not matched
    In fight, that´s attached
To skill, it may still be no good

    But our lads are used
    To that, which will boost
Our chances when this game is played,
    Although a stalemate
    Like last year´s home date
Is threatened, so don´t be dismayed

    They are hard to beat
    With just two defeats
Although wins are too, hard to find,
    With none yet away
    Of the games they´ve played
But draws in the six out of nine

    So this will be tight
    And maybe no sight
For the squeamish, or those weak at heart,
    But each to his own
    It´s not ours to frown
We can only just play our part. OTBC

Hoping for a slim win, but expecting 0 - 0

Hi RBF, to be fair to Stoke, as has been pointed out in other threads, they have adapted their game somewhat! It's still very direct but they have improved their passing to team-mates quite considerably. They're very hard to break down, but with Tettey and Wesley on fire, we may just have the weaponry to take them out!

    Come on you Canaries!

    The games that you play
In one's home, you can say
    Are nobody's business but yours
    But there's nothing less private
    Whatever the climate
Than football when played out of doors

    Then all have to pay
For the way that Stoke play
With it's "Up yours", "Get Stuffed", "We don't care"
    Not much to be done
    'cept trounce them 3:1
And let them creep back to their lair

    Well robbieBB
    3-1 would suit me
But I´m not such a betting man,
    To stick my cash there
    As I rather fear
It´ll end a draw, as it began. :(

But I´d love to be wrong <ok>

Now rbf be of good cheer !
We will smash them with our own thunderbolt
    A certain Mr Holt

Would have done you a rhyme but too much beer last night and a need to leave early to get a good parking slot for a quick get away to Guy Fawkes fun tonight is my excuse for not trying!

    OTBC!

All bluster and bravado, me RBF. My money's on J. Walters to score. Then he can claim to have done his bit for the Town even if we win. <laugh>
