I'm hoping this is just journalism and that there's no truth in the rumour.

Can't really blame Wes if he's trying to get an improved contract after what happened with Grant in the summer!!!

"Norwich are in danger of losing midfielder Wes Hoolahan after dragging their heels over a new contract.
The 30-year-old's form earned him a place in the Republic of Ireland squad on Thursday and he is being trailed by Sunderland, Aston Villa, Fulham and leading Championship sides."

Something and nothing I suspect. I bet this kind of thing happened all the time when we were L1 and Champ. It just never got reported. Premier League teams are so under the spotlight it is ridiculous.

Journalists are just so desperate to write something about PL teams that the smallest non-story gets blown out of all proportion.

The problem with success is your players get talked up, pilkington last year, wes this year, its going to happen but at least it means they're doing something right!

its typical lazy journalism. they pick a player whose had a couple of decent games lately, make up something about him regarding his contract talks stalling or a falling out of some kind, and bobs yer uncle, fanny's yer aunt, and you've got a story. had he not been in the spotlight last week, this story would have been about someone else.

He's got a good contract and it's definitely worth improving it as everyone can see what he brings to the team.

I know what everyone's thinking though, that he might "Do a Holt"

He's in a stage of his career similar to holty was and I'm sure the board have learnt there lesson. We aren't a club full of little whiny bitches, let's sort it out in January or the summer.

Asked him and I got a text back saying.

'Haha no mate got bigger fish to fry. Off to qpr press conference today.'

The cheeky bastard.

I am amazed that anybody believes anything in the Daily Mail or, even worse, the Daily Express or the Daily Star. If I have the misfortune to pick a copy up I don't even believe the date at the top!!
