Me too mate, I have mellowed these past few months and have been less wummer and more contributor...cough cough... but I agree, we need to allow more conversation to flow so I will also do my upmost
true mate. Must hurt them loads to know we have masses of history and they only have a tiny percentage in comparison
Same waffle, bad memories, bigger fibs and still all living on fantasy island....(notice less agression)...
wiz, i enjoyed our battles over who won the most derbies. last i remembered i was winning the battle i have retired now
are we going for the rival watch thread then as discussed earlier? im off to bed now so if your all in agreement then feel free to set up the thread and start it off. if you want ideas how to start it off i included links earlier for teams who have it going on their board. if your all in agreement then be good to make that thread all things rival which includes all types of rivals not just city related. but thats just my opnion. we did have a rovers/city banter thread before. be nice if we had it for all rivals like next opponents, teams around us in the table rivals, other teams in our league rivals, local teams rivals, any other rivals you can think of so its all in 1 place
Such a good read this, but seems your new rivals are bath city and forest green..Those will be such intense games with about 500 watching
And your rivals would now be who then Lan? Cardiff?? Such rivals that in all the recent years you've played them, you've yet to muster more than about 600 away!!! Absolute joke. We took more there to a Carling Cup game on the Tuesday following you playing there in the league on the Saturday!! And before you start all your excuses, they haven't all been bubble matches and your home gates against them have been equally as pathetic.
That's because to wittle ole rovers its a big team and lets face it you will never play Cardiff again
Shut up Shiny, Cardiff are about as big as City. We wont all rush over to watch us against Cardiff, but we did take 7,000 YES 7,000 to Fulham when we were in this division near the bottom and outnumbered the Premier League home fans who had 6,000. When did you last do that? Oh...
City / Rovers will always be the main rivalry due to the geographic location, even when there are 2 leagues between the sides. I guess Cardiff will hold a "special" place for everyone as they are in a different country. It would be great if Rovers could battle through the first 2 rounds of the cup top set up a derby with City in the 3rd round. One note - Yeovil's main rivals were Weymouth (Dorchester like Yeovil but hate Weymouth) - I suspect Yeovil now enjoy beating / being above their so called bigger neighbours - I know when they beat us at Huish (think it was 2-1 and might have been the game Carey was sent-off?) it was like they won the cup final - also they must love the fact that they are a league higher than the Gas
When did you get last get 6,000 mutants crammed into the rugby ground?? When did you last do that? oh...
"Haven't all been bubles matches.." umm maybe the last 2 haven't but the rest have.. and if you think 14,000 home crowd is pathetic whats your opinion on your own attendances??
Think it has only been one so far and we have not gone to their place since it was lifted I think, could be wrong?
